Eric Bienemy. Byron Leftwich. Kliff Kingsbury. Greg Roman. Jim Caldwell. Frank Reich.

All available. Just because they are doesn't mean they can do the job. Frank Reich wanted Stroud, not Bryce Young, BTW.

Kellen Moore too. Or at least he’s expected to be available since the Chargers canned his HC.

On one hand, Ryan Pace drafted Justin Fields. Ryan Poles did not.

On the other hand, you can keep Fields and surround him with what you think are better offensive coaches, trade the number one pick and keep going.

I don't know what they're going to do, but it really does feel like Fields is done as a Bear. There is a market for Fields more than likely. Playoffs start this weekend so there is still going to be some time to sort this out while everyone sorts themselves.
All I know is hopefully it doesn't involve Caleb Williams in the future

Why is it that the guy who royally screwed his staff up initially is now getting another shot to do it.

This franchise is beyond infuriating.
I think this is the overwhelming sentiment so far. OC, DC, RB Coach, QB Coach so far.

It is a pivotal point, and while the team showed improvement, that doesn't necessarily mean Eberflus should be kept on when you look at the overall body of work. They lost three games they absolutely should not have lost where they had leads in the fourth quarter on top of the inept hiring of staff members who are bad and had to be fired, some for reasons they are still not revealing.

3 PM CST presser at Halas Hall. Kevin Warren, Ryan Poles and Matt Eberflus are scheduled speakers.

The entire offensive staff is gone.

All the film breakdown shows how inept Getsy was. All the players comments shows the same. Keep fields build a team and in the trenches. Give me Maserati Marv and a franchise LT
I still like getting a crazy bounty for that number one pick. Which would make the Cardinals happy because they'd probably get Maserati Marv at 4th. If they keep the picks as they are, I like your plan.

Eberflus needs to hire a DC so he can be a head coach and spend time with the offense. Frank Reich has called plays, won't be coming for Eberflus' job and they worked together in Indy. I'm guessing they'll go for him first because that's a very Bears move.

Fully expect Eberflus/Poles press conference to be a nothing-burger. They'll say the stuff they have to say and I would take any comment about Fields with a massive grain of salt.

Somewhat interested to hear what Warren says.

Kevin Warren is the business guy. I don't think he's actually doing anything with football decisions. He's just the new Ted Phillips.

Zac Robinson from the Rams might be my top OC guy right now.

It makes no sense for the Bears to reveal their QB decision now. I'd wait till the commish starts the clock on the #1 pick to make that public.

Keep holding on till the end to see how lucrative the offers are for the pick. Hold on to Fields as well until teams get desperate for a QB.

If Shane Waldron is a realistic candidate then he better be priority

Ryan Poles: "Jaylon (Johnson) is not going to go anywhere."
Heard that which I appreciate. I give poles and Warren credit. I don’t like Warren, but he answered all questions. Poles has been pretty visible and transparent this year, probably more so than Paces entire tenure. He always was hiding. Lastly based on Flus comments in this video, and many things Poles said about the human being we’re evaluating and fit with the team, I don’t think QB1 goes anywhere and I’m ok with that.

Does any coach succeed in Chicago? Seems pretty risky especially with a HC on thin ice.

All I needed to know from yesterday is that as of now the oline coach is still employeed. Go back to post 1193 and remind me why.

Sorry....I tried to attach it here but phone is acting goofy

Several rankings had the (very young) OL around middle of the pack. Upgrading C would go a huge way to getting better OL play along with progression from the young guys at LT LG and RT

I thought Warren's comments about a stadium in Chicago being an option were interesting. The Arlington Park purchase would seem pretty strange if that's the route they end up taking. From what I hear, Arlington is a done deal and all that is left is hammering out the fine print, making sure local municipalities and school districts have the numbers figured out for taxes. The end.

A downtown stadium doesn't seem plausible for a variety of reasons.

You can't bad mouth Fields at all if you're any of these guys. Whether you keep him or maximize his value via trade, they have to make sure people at least perceive they think highly of him.

I don't care if Fields has to learn a third offense. I want him to learn and be a part of his first GOOD offense. Football guys pick things up. This is someone who transferred from UGA to Ohio State. He's done this before. The issue is being in two bad ones has done nothing for him.

It seems that some significant portion of your takes on Fields have as much to do with emotion as they do anything else. By contrast, the emotional aspect of my fandom is tied to the team and not to any individual player (Walter Payton notwithstanding). I understand the desire for him to be a good NFL QB, I dropped it once I believed that we had better options - the #1 pick in this years' draft.
