ND has lost an ardent fan.

Chesterton resident James Patrick Henry Maloney passed away at his home on Friday, April 23, 2010. He was 66.
Jim was born in Gary on August 15, 1943 to the late James and Catherine (Henry) Maloney. He graduated from Emerson High School in Gary in 1962 and went on to Indiana University, graduating in 1969. Jim taught social studies at Westside High School in Gary for 37 years.
He is survived by his loving wife of over 36 years, Darlene (Swisher) of Chesterton; children Peggy (husband Manny) Guardiola of Chesterton, Denise (Ron) Wilusz of Rolling Prairie, Father Sean (wife Jessica) Maloney of Corpus Christi, Texas, Shannon (Chris) Chavis of Wanatah, Erin (Brian) Sheely of Lacrosse, and Kathleen Maloney of Michigan City; and six grandchildren with one more on the way.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 28 at 10 a.m. at St. Francis Episcopal Church, 237 E. C.R. 1200 N. in Chesterton. Visitation will be held at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway in Chesterton on Tuesday, April 27 from 4 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be made to St. Francis Episcopal Church. God bless you James Maloney... Though I never knew you personally, your spirt and, though residing above, still causes me to reminisce in your classy looks of Notre Dame Football.

I'm new but looked up his photos and he has some amazing ones. It's easy to tell he was an even better person. RIP

Not that I know of. Lep was awesome, such a big Notre Dame fan and contributed plenty of beautiful pictures of the campus, fans, players, even the Notre Dame squirrels. I don't know where all he contributed, but I know he used to post them on the old defunct ND Fans board that I used to go to. I imagine he probably posted them on other sites besides IE too. RIP
