After BRONSON's first divorce, he married British actress Jill Ireland from October 5, 1968. He had met her in 1962, when she was married to Scottish actor David McCallum. At the time, Bronson (who shared the screen with McCallum in The Great Escape) reportedly told him, "I'm going to marry your wife".

BRONSON allegedly moonlighted as a vigilante while shooting Death Wish

It is amazing the string of ensemble movies he was in during the '60's!

You think that was something, him moonlighting as a vigilante? Once he actually moonlighted as a surgeon in the '70's when he missed the role on one of the TV shows. Actually repaired four hernia's and cleared an obstructed bowel, all in one day!

That's what Bronson does, he makes the bad guys sh*t themselves with fear.

Here's an incredible compilation of the best scenes from Death Wish. A friend of mine put this together. The music fits perfectly.

If memory serves, BRONSON never died in any of his movies except The Mechanic. Obviously BRONSON permitted this to happen only to show that he could kill from beyond the grave.

He had several directors that worked with him frequently. That helps a lot.

J Lee Thompson
Michael Winner
Tom Gries
Peter Hunt
Terence Young

All wonderful choices!

I'm currently sitting under an authentic The White Buffalo poster right now. It's adjacent to my DEATH WISH 4: THE CRACKDOWN poster.

Another of BRONSON's movies that flies under the radar, but is quite good, is BRONSON ASSASSINATION. That movie is essential BRONSON in the latter part of his career. I highly recommend.

I really liked CB in The Great Escape. Ensemble part instead of starring, and a very different character than his usual tough guy, but I thought he was great as Danny the claustrophobic tunneler.

I have not seen all of Bronson's movies, but I do know he also died in The Magnificent Seven. He went out like a boss though.

I think he died as Igor in House of Wax, too. If not it was a close call. His career almost died in that one before it got started it was so bad! 1953!

Ah you're right. I was thinking of films in which BRONSON was the lead role. But as I stated it, you're definitely correct.

CB was badass in "Once Upon A Time in the West." One of my favorite movies. Has anyone seen "The Stone Killer" with Bronson? I saw a trailer for it awhile back and it looked like awesome schlock.
