I’m being genuine when I’m asking you what are you seeing (or in this case not seeing) that leads you to believe they aren’t improving? Is it their lack of separation? Ability at the point of catch? Route running? Is it a combination to include Stuckey being publicly over confident?Improvement, that’s it. I am simply pointing out that, generally speaking, the WRs do not appear to be getting better on an individual basis under Stuckey. For the most part, they appear to be stagnating or regressing for the past couple seasons. There are likely multiple reasons, and it is reasonable to assume that Stuckey is one of those reasons.
For me, it seems injuries have played a big role. I think he inherited a weak WR room and has had to piece it together on the fly. Greathouse and Flores are playing above average, especially for freshman. Faison has really come on and Tyree looks night and day different after playing most as a RB his career. Thomas and Colzie have been hurt and I thought Merriweather was as well.
It also appears as if Hartman is at his best targeting the slot and the TE. That doesn’t help the outside WRs. I also don’t think the play calling has helped either.
