I would have thought coming off a national championship appearance we would of had a lot more good news and momentum.

Positives:
1. We didn't lose anyone significant to the transfer portal
2. We brought in some difference makers in the transfer portal

Negatives:
1. We lose 2 of our top position coaches. Golden and Delan
2. We settle at Defensive Coordinator after not landing our top two choice on a guy who no team in the college football playoff would even consider.
3. We lose our GM and strike out on our top choice
4. We have a big Junior day and only come out with 1 commitment
5. YOUR mom!

Your underestimating how much of that is focused in the Odessa/Midland area. There's very little big time oil money in central Texas.
I admittedly am not an expert in the regional economies of Texas or where, exactly, the money comes from.
But I have watched A&M light giant stacks of money on fire for like two decades in futile attempts to be a nationally-relevant football program, and SMU, Texas Tech and others seem to dabble in that behavior from time to time as well.

I mean I did graduate college with a 3.7 GPA just when I'm typing fast I don't tend to check or overlook what I type.
Actually you overlook a lot of things. It’s the fact that you don’t look things over that annoys so many. And the 3.7? 1.0 as a Fr, .8 as a So, 1.0 as a Jr and .9 as a Sr. Congrats. Maybe you should’ve redshirted to get a 4.4.

2008 - try playing NCAA 2025 to get your fix. Change player positions, recruit DTs and WRs, and be the best GM you can be!

It’s a sacrifice living in South Bend. For example, you have to put up with people calling Hacienda “Mexican food”. That’s difficult to process for some people.
I honestly wonder how much that is taken into account for some coaches, staff, and recruits. It's tough living in SB .... yeah, you're not far from New Buffalo or Chicago, but with a job demanding that kind of commitment and hours, you've really got to be present year around.

Im curious if the loops and allowances we went through for Blanchard will effect what the next targets will demand.
