But actually, McGuire is known as being extremely tight with Texas HS coaches, as he was one at Cedar Hill. Rhule is/was an elite scouter of HS talent. That Baylor roster was loaded with gems he scouted. If Blanchard is part of that secret sauce + has firm grasp of the portal? This is as good a hire as you could make and a upgrade over Bowden almost certainly

Freeman’s focus on Texas is really good. And something BK retreated from heavily.

I said this when bowden left that they should probably split the GM role into 2 positions like this

O’Malley and John Brice echoed this sentiment on two separate podcasts this week so I’m hopeful ND is going all in for the talent acquisition department.

Everything I've read on this guy makes me think we should get excited. Chad was like the frat boy that played Call of Duty with the guys and people liked his schtick. This guy seems like a hustler that will help Freeman land top talent.

USC knows off field personnel will leave if you overpay. The LA life probably is a lot more draw to someone off field than on field

Legitimately how many cities was he in today? Did they go helicopter or something?

Sounds like he told Freeman no once before when they hired Benton, so curious to see if he says yes this time. Sounds like Texas Tech will do everything to keep him.

Yea but is that offer any more attractive now that the team just went to a National Championship game? I've got to imagine that would be a selling point now.
