1. Ugly wins like this are ones we will appreciate at the end of the season.
2. The o-line played their best game so far this season.
3. Walton should be RB1, if he keeps running like he did today he is another weapon on offense.
4. Traore gave UNC's QB fits all day.
5. Carr's stats were impressive, kid plays smart football.
6. Defense bent, but didn't break; still too many points given up.

The worst part about it was that if you were dead set on running the QB it should just be a sneak from under center or some sort of QB draw. Something like notion Walton out and run it right up the middle because your OL is killing them. But pulling guys and asking Walton block for him? Way too cute, and that's why it went for negative yards.

Up until the 3rd and goal play and without the rain, the offense looked awesome. I'll take the positive from that!

Stuff to work on but the team needs a reality check every once in a while to make sure they keep getting better.

Definitely noticed this in the stadium. NC was grabbing limbs and jerseys all day and never called for it.

It was such a confuzzling play call it almost had to be an audible or some sort of miscommunication. And yeah, we score there (or on the next play) and it's game over right then. I like going for it on fourth down and betting on our defense, but the fourth down play wasn't a great one either.

Saw a guy in a Riley Leonard jersey when we were walking out of the stadium and said to my buddy how much I miss one specific thing about the Riley Leonard led offense - we knew without a doubt we were getting a TD in goal to go situations. God I miss that

The UNC players talked a lot of crap all game. Even down 11 at the very end

When they stopped Walton for a 2 yard gain on 3rd and long with less than a minute left in the game the DT got up and hit some some sort of pose. My guy, the game is over.

Run game D was great but felt like our #1 goal was to stop the run and it impacted the pass rush.

DBs were not great except Talich who keeps them from looking worse. Even Moore looked human.

Our run game was awesome. Walton clear #1, James clear #2 and Williams is the third down and long RB. Would be nice to see if Young could get some touches but it would relegate a captain to the cheering squad. Young probably won’t see much action to preserve another year of eligibility and hit the portal. Very sad imo.

Oline was good all around. WRs were good. Flanagan 87 not capable of making the big catch. Whoever held on the beautiful Walton TD needs to see less PT.

Pass rush was not even pedestrian and our blitzes were not much better. D against the run was great to the detriment of the pass rush.

Special teams sucked but at least we made a FG.

Playcalling on 3rd & 4th down and goal was terrible. Way too cute. Kick the FG. Huge momentum swing.

Ash got outcoached today by Petrino who had two weeks to prep with big brain BeleChik. No girlfriend sighting à la Taylor Swift.

Great game for Carr, Oline, Walton, Faison again and good to see Greathouse make a nice play. Good to see Walton knows how to bounce the runs outside when it allows for it.

Need some serious scouting before our big three games.

Not missing Minchey or Angeli. Poor Angeli got benched for turnovers and Minchey has 58 total yards at the half.

Hope we don’t drop in the ratings but we will have three big games to show our stuff. Dominate Stanford next week please and get right on D.

I was at the game and there is no comparison between James/Walton and Williams. Much better vision and their feet are so quick. In a perfect t world, Williams would be the guy after waiting his turn but he’s no more than a 3rd down back and 3rd string.

Carr looked really good. He throws suck a beautiful deep ball. Offensive line just dominated the line of scrimmage in the second half.

Shulet sucked in coverage and defense looked really disappointing overall in pass defense. I’ll have to watch the tv copy to see why. Run defense was outstanding as long as they didn’t run to the outside on 3rd and long.

Funny that TV announcers in one of our early games talked about the absence of Love and Price and how Williams was now RB1 and that he was a confident player who has seen himself as better than Love or Price. Hope Williams gets his degree and maybe even comes back for another extra year 15 pounds lighter and pursues a free advance degree and a few dollars.
