So does our entire University.
We're highly protestant round these parts. More likely to stand and sing with a hand to the Lord than we are to slap down the kneelers and silently meditate for 45 seconds.
Y'all's services smell a lot better, though.

I believe Bell is listed in the program at 6'6 252lbs. He is a big man and runs well. He will probably be a big part of the future of this program. I am very anxious to see this package against a really good front seven. I am expecting OU to have a few more plays out of this formation this week. Just for the goalline situation, we may throw out of it to see if we can catch ND putting to much emphasis on the bell dozer rushing attack
It's 4th & 1. Bell is in the game. The direct snap goes to him. Louis Nix bursts through and meets Bell in the backfield. OU is stopped short.OK, so you're in the "massively overpower the Oklahoma OL and lead blockers and stop the 254lb guy on a consistent basis" camp.
Fair enough.
He'll be shooting lightning bolts out of his arse come Saturday, you just watch.
Except for you. He no longer likes you because you used the word dong.
All I know is, if our men want to do any smack talking on the field, they better keep it all monosyllabic!
Wow!

Wait, we've already heard that OU's stats are inflated if you include more than just the first team. Are the stats for just the starters in the 20's?
Maybe they should slow down when they write those tests. That no huddle testing is killing them.
I'm new to this forum and am also a avid Sooner fan. I'm not here to get into a pissing match or to throw out outrageous versions of how the game will go.
In my opinion Kstate played us as well as they could have. They were able to get enough pressure on Landry and cause him to make a few costly mistakes. When Bell fumbled on the three yard line, thats just the way the night went for us. Some will say that OU beat themselves and others will say KSU beat OU.
A couple of things that I haven't heard any OU fans mention on here are 1) At the beginning of the season we had a really young recieving corps. We were playing Stills who is a Junior, Metoyer who is a true freshman, Brown who transferred in from Penn St., and Shepard who is a true freshman. THis offense heavily relies on timing and I have noticed that the timing of our recievers was not good early but has gotten a lot better in the last coulple of weeks.
Our offense line took some huge hits late in the summer with injuries and we began this season with a patch work O-Line. These guys have also started playing better as a unit.
There is no doubt in my mind that ND has the best defense we have played this year. Manti Te'o is the best defensive player we will see all year. OU will have to run the ball to win this game. We have to atleast keep the Irish honest. If OU drops back and throws the ball to much, the Irish D will tee off on our offense and this is not a situation I personally want Landry in. OU has to run the ball, just enough to keep Te'o on his toes.
I agree that Eifert is a great player. He can create mismatch problems for most people. I feel that with him being a tight end it will play to our defensive strength. Jefferson ( who i feel is our best defensive player) should spend a lot of time with Eifert. I'm not saying that Jefferson will dominate Eifert or anything like that, but I can't ask for more thatn having our best player on your best player. There will be times when the Irish put him as an outside reciever and jefferson has no business out there. But, when he is lined up as a tight end or slot, jefferson should get to be around him plenty.
The irish rushing attack worries me more than Eifert. If OU comes out and has a few short 3 and outs and the Irish take the ball and sustain long drives, we are behind the eight ball. As a team OU can't afford to let ND have long drives while we try to figure out how to move the ball. I think this will be the most physical game either team has played up to this point in the year. Brian Kelly and Bob Stoops will both have there teams ready to go.
I appreciate the hospitality most of the Irish fans have shown.

Nice post
However, I'm not so sure OU is more physical than Stanford, especially on offense where Stanford uses 6 or 7 true linemen when they run the ball. Remember, they had a first and goal inside the five and couldn't get it in, ever with the last two plays coming insde the 1.
Brian Griese says we will "manhandle" Oklahoma on both sides of the ball.
I heard the report on the raido last night. That's one reason people hate ND so much. They take pride in the academics and don't sacrafice it for the sake of a football win.
So no rebuttal from our Oklahoma associates in regard to that mind numbing 47% rate?

I don't see either of these teams manhandling the other. I think this will probably be a close game for 4 quarters, which scares me somewhat as a Sooner fan. ND has been great late in games, the Sooners not so much. We haven't had to play late very often, but the one time we did didn't turn out to well. I've never thought much of Brian anyway, and yes he has often been sown on ND. This may be a good sign for you guys!
