I think it is straight up. A really good point.

Hey, I was wondering, Neutered and Golden, was it one of your eff's that fell and hit Daffy Duck on the head, and that is why he doesn't have as many BCS wins as Bray-dee?

Maybe you could illuminate the situation.

I still am looking forward to see the integration or lack thereof, with the new scUM staff. Recruiting gives me a whiff that they may not be page for, quite yet. What sayest you?

I don't understand the fuss.

Here's my take (because "what I have to say is very important"):

1. They both had good resumes.
2. Kelly's was probably better...comparable to Urban Meyer's.
3. Hoke's is still decent.
4. We'll know more in 4 years.

Bam.

Mack Brown was 15-28-1 in his first four years at North Carolina, he turned out to be a great coach.

Bill Synder was 18-26 in his first four years at Kansas State, his career is worthy of the HOF.

I know we'd like to assume each coach has instant success like Urban Meyer or Bear Bryant, but those guys are an exception to the norm, in my opinion.

I can agree that the "jury is still out" on Brady Hoke, but it's really tough to judge his Ball State/SDSU tenures and his future success/failure at Michigan. It's just an entirely different ball game--pun intended--and he will have much better facilities, players, and wherewithal to work with in his program.

There are a crap load of Obama though.

And this is EXACTLY why I love college football more than the NFL. Programs realize they are better off rolling the dice on an unproven commodity that is young and energetic (in most cases), than taking the NFL route of hiring re-treads like Norv Turner and Wade Philips knowing exactly what you will get beforehand (a few wildcards, no Super Bowls).

*Kudos to Michigan for engaging in a high-risk/high-reward game of poker, but I won't commend them too much, he was really their only option that would minimally save face.

Anyone watch his speech at the Big10 media? His arrogance reminds me of Weis. For UM's sake, let's hope he brings that attitude to his players.

+1 I thought the exact same thing. I had flashbacks to a Weis press conference when I saw that.
