Urban isn't better than Saban but disaster of a college football playoff is Urban Meyer's fault.

His leaving Ohio State and pushing for his buddy who clearly isn't up to snuff at Ohio State has allowed: 1) A fraud like Ed Orgeron to win a national title in 2019. No love OSU but a total fraud winning it all is a disgrace to the sport. Orgeron is 0-2 against Brian Kelly that's all you need to know. OSU was loaded in 2019, and if Ryan Day was up snuff they handle Clemson and then get by LSU.

2) Allowed stubborn ass Jim Harbaugh and scUM to make a final 4. And likely ensure we all get to witness lightweight Kirby Smart lose to Nick Saban for the 100th time. I almost hope Harbaugh wins just to watch his tough guy routine not effect or even amuse Nick Saban at all. But Harbaugh in the ship is a disgrace to college football.

But if you look at his record over the last 25 years it is at least arguable that Urban is the better college coach over that stretch. Urban does not have any "average" seasons like Saban has at LSU, Toledo and MS.

Where Saban gets my ultimate respect is his navigating his work/life balance. Meanwhile, Meyer is a sociopath who is only known for being useful for one thing.

That’s usually the key to a natty. Who was the least heralded QB to win CFP? Mac Jones was a 3-star out of FL and I was the first to say he was the least talented player on their offense last year but he’s starting as a rookie in New England so kudos to him & Bama for his development.
