Reelz TV is currently running a Bond fest. Goldfinger was followed by You Only Live Twice, on now, to by followed by Diamonds Are Forever.

Bond movies throughout February.

Jill St. John...underrated as a Bond girl IMHO

You know a forgotten bad guy? Robert Shaw, in From Russia with Love.

I think, if Goldfinger gave the signal, Odd Job would cut Jaws in half.

In the book, Odd Job is much more than a big thug. He's a master martial artist who jump-kicked a solid wood mantel in half. I'd probably take Odd Job over Jaws, as long as he doesn't try to sock Jaws in the mouth.

Isn't it great, how brilliant minds think alike?

Odd Job, hands down. Jaws wasn't all that tough. I saw a preacher man wear him out with a sledge hammer once and turn him into a soprano.

Please note I say this in the tradition of all good humor...we have a certain time honored saying here at IE for occasions such as this...link or it didn't happen!

Not a huge Roger Moore fan to be honest. The only reason why I havent completely discounted him as a Bond actor is becuase of Live and Let Die.

Other than Live and Let Die and Man with the Golden Gun (Christopher Plummer, Herv'e Velechez-sp?... ya gotta right?) I really am not much of the Roger Moore movie fans...stunts yes...dippy one liners...yes....never a big Jaws fan tho

I actually like Dalton's 2nd and Lazenby more than any of the other Moore ones

Lazenby had a super tough row to hoe...replace the beloved Connery (love his line about "that other fellow" from the movie) and pull off the most singular of the Bond tales where he actually falls in true love and marries. He may not have been the best, but I credit his performance with points for sheer chutzpuh (sp)

I think Moore's first three Bond flicks were decent. They definitely started to go off the rails after that. Lazenby did a good job, but was also helped by having arguably one of the strongest Bond stories to work with. Imagine Connery and Diana Rigg. What a duo!

I really enjoyed License to kill. The whole story is so dark, and it reminds me of how dark Quantum and Skyfall are.

Lazenby did fine in HMSS, it wasnt bad, but it wasnt special. The last of Moores films were just over the top with pushing the comedic relief.

This is why i think so many people dont like Moore's films. The plot and script were very mediocre in most of his films. The comedy in them was forced, and came across so cheesy.

The later Moore films also did not have the luxury of Ian Fleming's source material, or if they did, the movies barely incorporated the novel and opted for the silly and fantastic.

30 years later, the silly and fantastic just come across as cheesines.

Like i said earlier, I have to respect Moore because Live and Let Die was just so f'n good.
