So Will Muschamp interviews with the Bears and no one gives a crap. Interesting.

Looking more and more like Anzalone left for reasons independent of BK and this was always going to happen. Super shady.

Will be rooming with Matt Rolin... a kid from my area with a pretty bad rap after being committed to South Carolina, getting injured, having his surgery performed by the South Carolina team doctor, and then basically as soon as he woke up getting on twitter and switching to the Gators.

Muschamp recruiting lots of high character guys.

The NFL has been hiring successful FBS coaches over the last several years and there seems to be legitimate/mutual interest between successful FBS coaches like Brian Kelly & Chip Kelly. Because FBS coaches are having success in the NFL, even though the bulk of their experience/success is as an FBS coach, NFL teams are entertaining FBS coaches at a greater rate in recent history.

We have no clue on what the Eagle's true intentions are, but we can bank on the fact that there's interest on their part, or they would simply not waste their time interviewing BK or CK (Chip Kelly).

But these FBS coaches have connections to the NFL. It's not the fact they went from FBS to the NFL. Its the fact that these FBS coaches have prior history in the NFL and connections to the NFL that an NFL team wants. BK doesn't have those things. That's the difference.

Just like people still complaining about BKs yelling at players but Muschamp and Saban never get mentioned for meeting or surpassing Kelly in that regard

The real question is: Has a thread garnered 1000+ posts in a faster pace then this one?

1,000+ in about a 23 hour period

Did you read it? It says that BKs talks with the Eagles caused it.

Not really. It quotes the Sapp write up on 247 as saying that Kelly talking to the Eagles caused it, but it was not presented in the 247 piece as information, and it certainly wasn't a quote from anyone, let alone from Alex or anyone who would know what he was thinking. I think Sapp was just saying that it appears to be the case, which initially it did. But I think it's pretty apparent at this point, based on the totality of information available, that Anzalone was going to Florida whether Kelly spoke to the Eagles or not. Almost the exact same situation as Gunner last year, and Les Miles didn't speak to another team right before that happens. It's recruiting - this stuff happens. Gotta live with it.

You are looking at things too simply.

The NFL is hiring successful FBS coaches, and it's becoming an increasing trend. Successful FBS coaches are becoming short-list candidates for many NFL coaching vacancies. I'm sure having 'connections' with the league increases a coaches candidature, but I don't think it's a deal breaker by any means.

If it was a deal breaker they wouldn't even bother interviewing candidates with no "NFL connections" in the first place.

“@poontz96: Coach Kelly
Your timing for interviewing with the NFL is awful. #C'monMan Just keep blaming things on "Weis" guys like Te'o and Eifert”

This is totally off topic but thought we could all use a smile during these dark days:

Recruit Kyle Fritts told ESPN USC & Lane Kiffin did something so shady to him he broke down crying & was crushed. He just De-committed

God that program is falling apart so quickly, and it makes me so happy.

I agree. I have definitely seen it written that Anzalone's decision was based on Kelly's interview with the Eagles but I am very skeptical. There have also been hints that this has been in the works since the Under Armour game. (That's Montelus's theory, by the way, per BGI)

Fair enough. You introduced an excellent opinion; we simply disagree.
