The Bears are still looking. Will he interview there next? I would rather have the Bear job anyway.

Before people start jumping off the BK bandwagon, can we see where this goes and how it plays out?

The AA decision wasn't because of BK. That's a short cut answer and I'm tired of it already.

Anyone that follows recruiting knows that Anzalone's decommit had nothing to do with Kelly.

The insider forums have been loaded w/ discussions about how he made his UF decision during the UA AA week after spending time with no one but Gators commits.

edit: already covered

A few things:

If BK is really trying to hard bargain negotiate with ND, then there is no reason for him to put out any statement to cool things down. That would nullify his hard bargaining position. If he really wants to go to the NFL, then the timing is not a concern of his. If he wants to go NFL, which I kind of believe more and more, then okay. His stock is high right now and who knows if it will be this high again. (I would hope it'd be but who knows?) My only wish was that if he's trying to get a better deal that he could have done it another way. But I guess the timing for that is bad all around due to NCG being Monday and NFL teams looking now etc. Chip Kelly had the benefit of being in a lesser / earlier bowl.

I used to like BK until now.

I still do, but my patience is wearing a bit... Don't get me wrong, I hope to God he stays and think he's a fantastic football coach, but both this news and the game on Monday really disappointed me.

Who isn't tired of it?

Yes I agree lets just see how it plays out before we judge. It has been a bad and quite frankly very weird week. Punching out see yall tommorrow hopefully we will have some clarity. It does stink being totally clueless and everyone going crazy making assumptions.

Hopefully Swabrick has some coaches on the speeddial just in case! First call would be to Urban then Bob Stoops & David Shaw! I would even look at Kirk Ferentz and Charlie Strong!

No way guys. The teams we're talking about are not a step up. Not from ND they are not.

I am very disappointed in his decision making. Quite frankly I no longer trust the man.

I find it hilarious that anyone thinks urban would come here. The guy just went undefeated at ohio state. He turned down an opportunity to come here before. He will never be our coach.

He has handled this poorly. I just want some kind of ****ing statement. Say something, anything talk about the ****ing weather.

I'm just disappointed in the fact that he has said nothing since the news broke. To me, that either means that A) he doesn't think it's a big deal, which IMO it is, or B) he's really considering the Eagles and doesn't want to say something he'll regret if he chooses to leave ND. Both scenarios make me upset but in very different ways

Where exactly is the distrust in BK coming from? That he interviewed with an NFL team? That he did it before the EE's arrived?

Sounds like AA was ready for UF since the UA game and perhaps BK knew it so it doesn't matter now.

ND Rivals was suggesting that BK is using this as not only leverage for himself but for his assistants. That's huge. Gives guys like Alford, Diaco, Martin, etc stronger job security and a less likely reason to bolt.

BK has a plan. Let the plan play out before we start stoning the man's character. I was definitely a guilty party last night but I was wrong.

C) if he says something it completely destroys his leverage for the best deal he can get from ND.

I picture this whole situation like the corona commercial with coach kelly throwing his cell phone in the ocean.

Why do you people think this guy owes you an explanation for rumors created by the biggest rumor creating scumbags (Schefter and Mortensen)?

Anyone remember Schefter saying Chip Kelly and the NFL was a done deal just a few weeks ago? That turned out well.

Ask Cincy nation what they think of that? they would probably tell you to go Fvck off.

2nd interviews mean more than leverage.

This is all coming from Trace Armstrong. We don't even know what the first "interview" involved (my guess is just a short phone call, if that). The news about "mutual interest" and a planned 2nd interview could be completely fabricated.

He must like needles in his eyes too. That's one extreme to the other (Kelly--gambler- Ferentz--ultra conservatives). You wan't to see recruits stop coming to ND, hire KF.

Kelly should fire him.

I have Googled, Binged, searched sports website, etc, I have not seen a report of a second interview yet. Where are you seeing this?
