I just listened to the ISD podcast. They, like everyone else, realize S&C is a huge problem. (McGlinchey is 6'7 and ended the season under 300 lbs. That is pathetic.)To add fuel to the fire, apparently it has leaked that the players are criticizing Longo during their exit interviews.
Serious question:
There are WRs, like Chris Brown, Fuller, and Stepherson who are just skinny. No matter how many milkshakes they drink, thy can only carry so much weight. Then their are RBs the exact same height who weigh a ton and look like locomotives.
We all know there are 6'7" NBA players who are skinny. A lot of kids that height in college weight right around 200. Yes, two hundred.
So it's obvious that McGlinchy is not skinny. But neither is LeBron James, he is a beast, and he's nowhere close to 300. So how do we know that MCGlinchy could easily get to 310 or 320? Isn't it possible 295 is where his body wants to be--even if that is less than ideal as a LT? Obviously he could carry more fat, but that's not the goal.
The answer may be as simple as, "McGlinchy clearly has the bones to carry 315 or more." Again, I'm asking an honest question.
