I always love the way these coaches and fans of other teams wave around the term "conference schedule" like it's some magical incantation or something. Every single team we play is in a conference. It means nothing. We don't have any refuge in conference rankings and have no autobid available to us. Last year, we weren't even eligible for a bye even if we were 12-0 and ranked #1. There is really no built in advantage to independence and if there were, more teams would do it.

Seems like he's just engagement farming so people pay attention to his small-time program. Literally the only time I've ever heard this man speak is when he's ripping on us for some random reason. And not to stereotype but he sounds like he is exactly where he belongs.
