I think you sort of answered your own question. Taking money from a foreign government is okay if you are Biden and anyone asking about it will face the consequences. Sad reality of our politics today.

Because there is zero proof he “took” money, beyond accusations by disgruntled former govt. employees who were fired for participation in Jan 6 or by an unregistered agent for the Chinese government who dabbled in illegal foreign arms sales. Accusations without proof are just accusations.

Actually that's wrong. The March figures were in the pandemic and reflect transfer payments and layoffs that skewed real wages higher due to compositional effects (layed off workers made less so wages looked higher with them out of the work force). Biden was comparing to jan/Feb 2020 which are in fact lower than current real wages.
