Because the cross-section of posters remaining gives us insight into answer the question of why so many people have been run off and/or decided to leave the politics on this site, especially now that Trump is out. The threads are also hidden. I'm not an alumnus but the posters remaining are not very representative of Notre Dame fans and alums on the whole. Add in 500 ND fans and things would look a lot different.
Your past few posts have made it clear that you operate under a self-prescribed elitist worldview wherein every alum from Notre Dame (or any other university that you respect) aligns perfectly with your own politics and reads the NYT front-to-back, nodding eagerly with each Jamelle Bouie op-ed. But really, you have no idea who are alumni on this board or any insight on the representative politics of ND alumni (let alone the national fanbase!!!!).
People post on political boards specifically to debate other posters opposing viewpoints. That's the whole point. Maybe you should consider the possibility that the reason most posters have disengaged from this board is because of people like you who post with a lethal combination of extreme bias, condescension, and, as you say, "little insight."
