No Queen no Kiss no Styx please. Triumph from Canada sucked. Van Halen with David Lee was the schizznit..
How can you like VH and not Kiss. How is that even possible.

Right. I always interpret hair metal as the beginning of the end for classic rock. There were still some of those bands around, but hair metal was taking over, and it stops that genre.
I would also say that those you listed, while all part of different rock genres, were/are part of what I would label as the alt rock "era."
It's very easy and while I don't think Queen was bad, they aren't even in my top 25.
Pearl Jam
You're welcome
I have trouble deciding which of the two is the absolute worst band of all time - Queen or Kiss. Both make my ears bleed.
Have you tried using tampons for this?
smh....

Let me stir the pot a little with Irish#1's ten most overrated musical acts.
Springsteen - Great artist
Queen - few good songs sucked overall
RHCP - Great band that has might have a little too much "funk" about them for many
Rolling Stones - sucked
Kiss - sucked
Billy Joel - few good songs
Metallica - Great band. Anyone really trying to say they are overrated?? Their later albums (load and later) certainly aren't as good as their first (black and before)
Guns & Roses - These guys weren't together long enough to get a measurement but they were good.
Grateful Dead - bullshit
The Police - >bullshit

Kizz sucks based on that stupid movie they made, the song I was Made for Lovin You and the super shitty bass solo Gene Simmons attempted when I saw them play back in 83. A developmentally disabled baboon could have done a better job.

KISS in the 70’s/80’s had the street cred of the Monkees in the 60’s........ouch!
Sorry dude
FYI, I only listen to 80’s Joel.
Most overrated band ever is THE BEATLES
Replace with:
Springsteen - Great artist. Rick Astley
Queen - few good songs sucked overall. REO Speedwagon
RHCP - Great band that has might have a little too much "funk" about them for many. The Who
Rolling Stones - sucked. Herman’s Hermits
Kiss - sucked. Kajagoogoo
Billy Joel - sucked. Billy Idol
Metallica - Great band. Anyone really trying to say they are overrated?? Their later albums (load and later) certainly aren't as good as their first (black and before) Y2Khai
Guns & Roses - These guys weren't together long enough to get a measurement but they were good.
Lemon Pipers
Grateful Dead - bullshit. 38Special
The Police - >bullshit. Flock of seagulls.
your official winner for Greatest classic rock band per me is none other than....
AEROSMITH

Didn't we go through and actually vote on this tournament style? Who ended up winning I can't remember.
I'd try and look for it if our search feature wasn't such shit.
Were you a fan from VH from the start, for instance buying their first album when it came out in 78?
Kiss's first album was awesome. Came out in 74, but didn't discover it till around 80. Strutter, Deuce, Cold Gin... Didn't get the radio play in the mid 70s as it was a littl e
I liked Van Halen but didn’t own any of their albums. I also listened to and still listen to a lot of Motown and other soul music.
WHAM! The ‘no fuck round’ crew...
Even their name was hardcore...
Zep I believe. I'll bump the thread for you.
Yeah, Zep won, which is perfectly acceptable. I would have also accepted Aerosmith. Beatles got way too much love. They may have inspired a lot of rock and roll, but you rarely actually hear any of their stuff in Classic Rock playlists/radio.
The greatest rock and roll bands of all-time are…?

Irrelevant! Greatest rock and roll band isn't greatest classic rock band.
