"every single week ... there's a fresh Alabama thread" Really? I didn't realize your boys got in so much trouble. Every week. So was it you Commissioner Slive was thinking about when he became the SEC Commissioner and said, he was going to clean things up? Personally, I always thought it was Auburn but hey, Antonio Langham, Gene Jelks, Siran Stacy, David Palmer, Free Tires U., Fixed Speeding Tickets, DUI's ignored, Nance's gun ... . There is a long history which includes just about every coach and AD since Bryant but not
"every single week" as you protest - too much.
As for your need to respond so frequently, it might lessen if you actually read what's written in posts rather espond to the conclusions you jumped to like a hormonal tween.
The first poster noted "SEC player getting arrested ... shocking!" Kind of sad but if you google "Alabama player arrested" (your way of reading that sentence.) there are two separate stories on Bama players getting busted, Calloway in T'Town and Mark Barron in Mobile. At least one of the Calloway articles points out that Calloway was the first Tide player arrested since March '11. Almost like taking pride that it's been so long. (Which again kind of refutes your "every single week" crap, doesn't it?)
Curiously when you google "Alabama player arrested" the articles are also about Auburn players getting arrested for Armed Robbery, LSU players, other SEC schools ... kind of goes to the OP's "Another SEC Player arrested - Shocking!" (I keep getting visions of Claude Rains saying that line while folding a bundle of money, ahem, speaking of the SEC)
Wait it minute here, the post you took special exception to and quoted OUT OF CONTEXT and without attribution actually noted, "When it happens at a school
like LSU or Alabama". I listed his post below:

The folks at schools like LSU or Alabama do expect those that have stepped out of the lines won't miss any action or at most 1 game. Since winning does matter most there, doesn't it. He also notes that ND doesn't whitewash the infraction. Actually it doesn't matter if it's inseason or out of season at ND the student athlete goes before a Student/Faculty Board which judges student offenses. ND frequently suspends the student from ALL extracurricular activities for a semester so they can focus on their problem and remedy it. If this happens to fall during a sport the student plays, they get to sit out the season as part of a semester suspenion. Powers-Neal lost half a season with such a suspension for a DUI in his home state. Michael Floyd was suspended from the all activities during the past Spring Semester for his DUI and spent the time focus on his problem and undergoing counseling and community service.
Albeit briefly irishog was actually underscoring ND's focus on the STUDENT recognizing he has a problem and has to deal with it to overcome it while at places LIKE LSU or Alabama, the focus is how soon can they get the ATHLETE back in uniform.
BTW, in your quixotic quest to defend the honor of "schools like LSU or Alabama" you may want to check out the
Fulmer Cup - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia . The wonderful award that recognizes the procilivity for it's student athletes to get arrested. It was started to honor Tennessee (they're SEC, aren't they?) unique achievement of having over 20 players in a 16 month period back around '95.
It's only been awarded 6 times but UA, UGA, and AU give the SEC a lock. No other conference has even had two member school as winners. BTW, what's Saban up to now, 8 players arrested? Tell him to slow down he doesn't have to keep up with UF, Urban retired.
Troll on, MacadamianNut!
