I like him. But you just know Coach Six Days a Week is going to fuck it up.

It is, but while I’m not necessarily an IU fan, his teams are winning in a different manner than previous IU teams.
Without a doubt……they have a much more aggressive team approach than IU teams of the past. If Cignetti has success in recruiting, IU will be an interesting program going forward.

Might be time to at least consider the IU Football Hoosiers somewhat real.
If their QB isn't too badly hurt, schedule-wise, they could certainly go 11-1, which would put them in the CFP for sure. Cool. But people say we don't have the athletes/depth to stand up to the big boys...

If PSU beats OSU, OSU is out. That's kind of wild to think.
Of the playoffs? I doubt it. Assuming that game is close, close losses to two Top Three teams can easily be spun to "they're right there with the elites," and Ohio State's talent would get it the benefit of the doubt over most other contenders for the later at-large spots. Especially if they beat Indiana and Michigan handily. They'd be a very dangerous 10 seed.

Don't underestimate Cignetti, Rourke and IU, but for sure, these next 5 weeks are much harder obstacles/proof points... Should be interesting. If they run the table, that's one hell of a turnaround and feat and he can say he also leveraged the TP effectively to build his team. If so, he would be highly-desired as a HC around CFB, that's for sure!

I'm all for IU winning the B1G, but that would be such a feat that Gonso, Isenbarger and Butcher would be doing back flips and that would be impressive for their age.

Two Things
1. Dare I say it - Go ScUM? Need to give Sherrone that 1 win that gets them to finalize those long term contracts for the loser staff. Would love Meatchicken to give itself the David Shaw treatment

2. As I was doing my due diligence, looking it up to make sure I got the name correct...AI search gave me this gem:

Probably more like the Clay Helton treatment. Shaw had a few decent years. I'm not sure Helton ever really did by USC standards. Never had less than 3 losses in any given season (Usually more) and won one bowl game in 7 years.

Yet Helton's record is almost identical to Lincoln's record!

Understand and can agree, but I have always hated Fat Head Shaw more than anyone on the USC sideline.
I shall amend to say that "Would love Meatchicken to give itself the Last 5 Years of Shaw treatment." I think that is Sherrone's ceiling and I am happy to have an Oregon win be the bait to swallow that hook.
