it is very real, a real song and not a joke. But the producer and song writers wrote it because they wanted to show that they could take an ordinary girl and make a hit. It may not be a hit but her views went from around 4000 views to over 55 million almost over night.

Almost 58,000,000 hits as of this moment. I can see the very young crowd liking it. She has an infectious smile, she's cute, exudes a great attitude, and the song is so simple that it is a quick sing along for the elementary crowd. Kinda reminds me of one hit wonder Tiffany. Although Tiffany's hit was just a remake of a Tommy James & the Shondells' song, it reached #1 on the charts:

Since I last posted, the video is approaching 60,000,000. Saw a commercial a week or so ago advertising Tiffany and Debbie Gibson co-hosting some kinda show on cable. lol. More power to them.
Guilty pleasure: I couldn't help but check out this spoof of the Rebecca Black song. I got a chuckle out of it. (and now, I hope I never hear this song again...)

I see very little differenece between Rebecca Black's song and any random Lady Gaga song... and most of that difference can in the fact that Black and her producers were trying to make horrid music on purpose.
