Right now, do you think there is any possibility Bama could lose the Iron bowl and still make the playoffs?

Would need some help, but say Auburn loses to Georgia and A&M or LSU, then beats Alabama in the Iron Bowl. Alabama still wins the SEC West b/c Auburn has two SEC losses. Then Alabama beats undefeated Georgia in the SEC title game. Alabama goes to the playoff.
Of course, say Auburn loses to Georgia in the regular season, then beats Alabama and Georgia in the Iron Bowl and SEC title game. Now you've got a two-loss conference champ who has just beaten the other two best teams. Does anyone from the SEC go?

Exactly, these next two games ND plays will be the top 2 o 3 (Miami) hardest games ND has left on their schedule.
Win these next two games then I will get excited, until then keep the hype away and let this team do what they have been doing since the UGA game. Going to work every Saturday and fly under the radar.
Like "hype" is some negative force that destroys those who look to the future with anticipation and positive expectations.
One of the best things about college football is once there are only 20 or so 1 or no loss teams, you can actually identify a shrinking # of teams each week that still have a chance and the paths each has and breaks each needs.
If UGA would have trucked them by 3 TD's, if MSU was 1-5 when ND went up there and if back half of the schedule had a SOS in the 100's, there would be no hype. But that's not the case.
Good grief, really? You're ticked off b/c I'm saying pump the breaks until after these next two games? Just b/c I want to be cautious due to the fact that we play two very very tough back to back games doesn't mean I think ND is a bad team, I just want to get over this hump before I get all hammered on the green kook aid.
My sole focus besides ND running the table is pulling for Georgia. The better their record is, the better a single one point loss to them looks.

I'm not the least bit upset, don't know why you'd think that?
Why do you want others to pump the brakes though? Why do you want to be cautious? Do you think talking about positive scenarios that could happen in favor of the Irish and a potential run at the playoffs are going to have some effect on the universe's ying and yang? I may have missed someone in this thread who guaranteed the Irish are in the playoffs, if that happened then someone is wacked out on the kook-aid. If not, it's perfectly reasonable for to discuss the what ifs. There's about 20 teams that have a shot at the playoffs and 2/3's of them will knock each other out between now and Dec.
Joe are you ready to get hammered on Friday? That's the real question.
Absolutely. And a one loss Bama beating an undefeated UGA would be no bueno.
Me thinks UGA will end up with two losses (@Auburn, and Bama in the SEC Champ). I do absolutely hope they run the table though.... Wild card team is Auburn IMO. They get both UGA and Bama at home. I could see a two loss Auburn getting the nod if their two losses are @Clemson (14-6) and Bama (close loss and Bama ends up undefeated). There are just all kinds of possible outcomes when it comes to those 3 teams. Not crazy to think a two loss team might get the SEC/ESPN nod over a one loss team.
Andy Staples from SI today was floating a scenario where we go 11-1 and undefeated Georgia beats undefeated Alabama for the SEC title. They both go to the playoff and so do we, leaving four conferences to scramble for the one leftover spot. Would be fun, anyway.

I think his only logical response is 'are you ready to get nailed'Joe are you ready to get hammered on Friday? That's the real question.
If the above holds true and then:
SC wins the PAC
Wiscy loses to Michigan then wins the B1G.
TCU loses
ND is guaranteed in... and I'm not 100% sure TCU even has to lose.
Why? If they run the table in the Big 12 and then win the Big 12 championship game they'll be at 13-0. I can't see ND getting in over that.

Heather Dinich. I'm not a fan of her opinion 99% of the time, and I'm not a fan of her face 100% of the time.
On the other hand, this Lauren Rutledge chick with Paul looks very bangable.
Dinich is certainly anti Bama.
And , much like Finebaum, she certainly has a face for radio.
Now... if the debate comes down to an 11-1 Bama vs an 11-1 Notre Dame, I certainly believe ND would and should get the nod. The Irish's resume would be more impressive this year IMO. But... too much football to play to start the what ifs.
