Why would they be treated differently? I’d be really surprised if they are held to a different set of rules.

Existing SA's get the 15 day transfer window that opens 5 days after the coach leaves.

NLI recruits are different.

Radio here in Columbus just said that current players and signees will have a portal open for them 5 days after a new coach is hired.

The actual portal isn’t open yet so idk how that’s possible

There’s a portal that opens when a team loses their coach. Unless they did away with that with the recent changes.
The NCAA changed it during the season from a portal window when a coach was fired to one after a new coach is hired. Seems like a generally better way of doing it, but I do wonder how it works if it overlaps with normal portal. It kind of seems like it could really screw the new coach if its open after the normal portal window closes.

I believe that the rules of NLI lock someone in for a set period of time which is different than being on campus and then hitting the portal. It used to be a year, I don't know what it is now because the rules change all the time.

To your point though, if you request release I am fairly certain that the CCA grants it if the head coach left. I had forgotten about that provision, but it happened with kid from the school I coach at a few years ago and at least at that time it was a black-and-white process. All you do is file a request for release and then they approve it.
Well the National Letter of Intent doesn't even exist anymore. Now its all just financial aid agreements and NIL contracts that get signed. And of those two, the NIL contract is probably the more binding and problematic for the kids that just signed.

Unless he has a prior record then I doubt he does actual time. I assume he will have a good lawyer and get probation, anger management, counseling, etc.

The old school Letter of Intent was sunset last fall but they still sign financial aid agreements with extremely similar function. Like there is still a signing day, and you still sign an agreement, it just isn't called a LOI anymore. But now that you mention it, I actually have no clue whether that's still covered by CCA or what the terms of agreements are.

Can’t believe the guy who cried his eyes out over Captain Khakis suspension is emotionally unstable.
The proof was when he cried over Harbaugh.

He was sobbing like a girl. Should have told ya everything right there. 🤣

This is insane. The first sentence is somewhat valid, but saying "people had it in for him" as a journalist is beyond ridiculous, especially 18 hours after the story broke.
If you think people have it in for you, you don't break into your mistresses house and threaten your life and hers. That's not a healthy response.

You go to the 7-11 and bust up a hot dog machine while cursing like a truck driver.

Have you been to Michigan recently? Weed shops everywhere. Crossing the boarder you get the “welcome to Michigan“ sign followed immediately with like 10 dispensary billboards 😂
Yeah unfortunately I live in Michigan. lol lol

I'm in Grand Rapids and there is a weed shop every block. (Like a Starbucks in Seattle)
