Man it's a freaking shame Bronco and Dampier left New Mexico, could've convinced myself they could pull the week 1 upset

The over sanctimonious crowd really has nowhere to hide anymore when you consider that college QBs with NIL deals are making as much if not more money than some of the NFL QBs.

I know most suburban whiteys hate the NBA, but I find most college basketball to be completely unwatchable myself. College football and college BASEBALL are better products than college basketball for my money and time.

I like the NFL better overall, but I consume Notre Dame Football more than any of it in the end. I can't say that I prefer the college game overall.
I’m in a similar boat.

I’ve not watched a NBA game (other than one I was given free tickets to attend back in 2000) since Jordan played for the Bulls.

I haven’t watched a NFL game that wasn’t the Super Bowl since 1996.

My last NASCAR race (other than a free ticket to Bristol) was the day Earnhardt died.

If ND is Rocky Balboa, USC is Apollo Creed and Michigan is Ivan Drago. Not saying Michigan is that formidable, but that's where the hate belongs.

Dude USC is definitely Clubber Lang in this hypothetical. If any college program got to be Apollo it would be someone like…idk…Navy, sort of?

Na, I think he's right. USC is the pampered champ Apollo with all kinds of skill but doesn't have Rocky's heart or toughness.
I don't know if I'd make Michigan the equivalent to Drago (Unless you consider the cheating/doping an equal comparison). Dragon is more like peak Alabama, pounding people into submission.
I'd say Michigan is more like Tommy Gunn. They were a paper champ that would have never beaten an Alabama or Clemson in their prime, just like Tommy couldn't beat Rocky in his prime (Or retired for that matter).
I don't know who would be Clubber Lang...maybe BC or Pitt? Like Clubber they have both gotten the better of us in the past when our head wasn't in the right place, but when we come back focused and ready we embarrass them.

Maybe Miami could be Clubber Lang? I can't speak to Tommy Gunn, as I only saw the first four movies.

Who gets to be Thunderlips?

Clubber is too tough for Miami I think. Clubber is tough, hard nosed guy from Chicago, blue collar. Maybe Michigan State is a more appropriate comparison.

Thunderlips...a loud mouthed braggart that is oozing muscles and ego, but ultimately is there for show and likes to pretend. Feels like Penn State?

As a Sparty alum, I will definitely take that. And now I'm sad about the state of the program. Seems strange they haven't had more luck with the portal.

Michigan fans have fully turned on Moore. The common sentiment is that he was born on third base even moreso than Ryan Day
Which is delusional even by Michigan fan standards. Harbaugh left no stone standing on his way out of Dodge and no serious coach was going to touch that job until the investigations were over. Moore took the job because he was basically akin to the League of Shadows henchman that Bane told to stay on the plane. "They expect one of us in the wreckage, brother!"
