theres a difference?

Toad, not troll. There is no difference with a toad.

(Any fan base can have a troll, all it takes is warts, poor self image, and extreme anally expulsive behavior. Not necessarily no freakin' brains!)

What does this mean?

They losing out on someone?

they already lost an OT to Stanford, 4* Devery Hamilton.

Jackson is a late offer to replace him. Jackson was all set to commit to Iowa yesterday but Michigan came in with an offer and is trying to lock him up.

jesus that guy is an idiot. I hate people that tweet to or about recruits.

Onwenu is going to have a press conference to reaffirm his commitment to Michigan, that's what the "insiders" say. 4* OT Michael Jordan did the same thing when he held a press conference almost out of the blue to announce he's going to stick with his commitment to Ohio State earlier this year. It's stupid as hell, but hey 17-18 year old kids.

Found this:
Don't think Jackson has anything to do with Onwenu considering they play different positions. Seems clear Jackson is strictly about Hamilton decommitting.

just think they could have had Swenson all this time and there would have been no worries.

Jim Harbaugh is paid to beat Ohio State and the SEC. Don't be surprised when Michigan uses similar recruiting tactics

I've been consistent in my approach to schools dropping recruits: it's all dependent on appropriate notice. If a school tells a prospect in November, that's fine because the kid (emphasis on kid) is being given time to form relationships with other schools and take a full allotment of official visits. Similarly, if a school tells a prospect that he needs to do something by a certain date to be in the class -- be it raise his GPA to a level after the fall semester, lose bad weight, or attain a test score -- and he fails to do it by the agreed upon date, dropping him is fine by me, too.

But what doesn't work for me is when a school strings a prospect along and then drops him very late in favor of a more talented player, giving him an unreasonably small window to make the biggest choice of his life to date.

Ohio State has had one decommitment in January (Tristan Wallace). Ohio State subsequently flipped Dwayne Haskins.
Alabama has had one decommitment in January (Riley Cole), who did not want to take a grayshirt offer.
Michigan has had five January decommits (Swenson, Weaver, Richardson, Scott and Enis) that were not the recruits' choices.

Harbaugh cannot beat those teams while riding on the high horse some Michigan fans still think the school still sits upon. That means cutting kids from the class and from the existing roster to create more room, and it means taking academically questionable entrants -- the same kids SEC schools worry about getting qualified. Will Michigan fans be cool with having the same standards as Ohio State or Alabama?

On the surface, Lou Holtz looks like an odd addition to the celebrity cast of the Signing with the Stars event in Ann Arbor. In an interview with SiriusXM College Sports, the former Notre Dame coach and ESPN analyst shed some light to his relationship with Michigan’s Jim Harbaugh, and why he is traveling back to Big Ten Country on Wednesday.

First, Holtz touched on his background with Harbaugh, which stems back to the two of them on opposing sidelines in the 80s.

“I knew Jim Harbaugh when he threw the fade pass against me at Notre Dame in the last two minutes to beat me in the first game I ever coached there,” Holtz said. “(We lived in the same place at one point) and I played a lot of golf with him. When he wanted to become a head coach at San Diego, he asked me to call the president who was a big Lou Holtz at Notre Dame fan. I helped him get the job.”

From a purely football standpoint, both sides of the relationship went on to have great success. Holtz finished his career with a record of 249-132, including a stellar mark of 100-32 at Notre Dame. Harbaugh had great success as a student-athlete at Michigan, player in the NFL, and head coach at both the college and professional levels.

Flash forward to 2015, when Holtz is enjoying his retirement in Florida and Harbaugh is preparing for his first year of coaching the Wolverines.

“On June 22 last year my house burned to the ground, and we lost everything,” Holtz said. “About a week later, the best man at my wedding about 55 years earlier named Bill, who is a retired Chrysler executive living in Ann Arbor, sent me a care package of clothes. Unsolicited by anybody else — he just felt this was the right thing to do. He sent all these Michigan clothes and a lovely note. How do you repay somebody like that?

“His 12-year old grandson is a huge Michigan fan, so I called Jim and asked him to do me a favor and invite him over for lunch sometime. So he invited not only the kid but the whole family of the best man at my wedding over and had a fantastic time.”

Harbaugh connected with the retired coach soon thereafter, which spurned an invitation for Holtz to join the celebrity cast for the Signing with the Stars event slated to benefit the Chad Tough Foundation.

“At the same time when Jim called me to tell me how everything went, he asked me if I would come up and do this event. He said it’s going to be about 3,500 people or so and will raise money for cancer. My wife is a stage four cancer survivor; they gave her a ten-percent chance to live. She has squamous cell carcinoma in her throat, had a 13-hour surgery, and 83 radiation treatments. Her weight went from 129 to 89. So we do everything we can to help fight cancer.

“Those are the reasons I’ll be there. I have tremendous respect for Jim.”

It’s a relationship that’s lasted decades, and always seems to come together no matter what the memories of rivalries between Notre Dame and Michigan are.

As a reminder to those traveling to Ann Arbor on Wednesday, admission to the event is invite-only and cost of entry is a donation to the Chad Tough Foundation.

Fortunately the ND fanbase doesn't have any of those types of fans.

this is just weird.

Lou Holtz, Todd McShay, Mike Shannahan, and Adam Schecter breaking down Michigan's commits?

What are they suppose to say? Oh yeah this kid sucks, you shouldn't have offered him a scholarship Jimbo.

Tom Brady introducing all the damn recruits. Pretty cool if you're a HS kid dreaming of the NFL. That's got to be a surreal moment.

Giving up 6 points for knocking out Gardner - Priceless.

I almost felt bad for the Michigan fans who left the stadium in complete silence. Then I recalled the boasting when they won. Classless.

They will chicken out on any renewal.

Notre Dame gives Michigan a blowout to remember them by

“I want all Michigan alum and everybody in the administration to understand, we're not playing you because we're afraid of you,” Holtz said. “We're not playing you because we're trying to upgrade the damn schedule!”

Lou Holtz stealing this show.

Derek Jeter is a cool ass motherfucker. If I was a high school athlete sitting on that stage next to Brady and Jeter my mind would be fucking blown. That's all-time all-time sports greatness right there.

The Minute After: Michigan - Inside the Hall | Indiana Hoosiers Basketball News, Recruiting and Analysis

Thoughts on a 80-67 win in Ann Arbor:

Tom Crean was angry.

Yogi Ferrell had just frozen in the lane instead of following Derrick Walton out to the left corner. Walton drilled a 3-pointer in front of the IU bench and Indiana found itself down 15-4 at the 14:31 mark with four turnovers to boot. So Crean called a timeout to right the ship.

His team responded in an enormous way.

The Hoosiers finished the half on a 41-9 run — including a 25-0 blitz over the final 9:05 — to head into the locker room up 45-24. Michigan never seriously challenged in the second half and IU rolled to a 13-point victory in a game that wasn’t as close as the final scored had indicated. All game, Indiana simply raced down the floor and got good open looks as Michigan stumbled around helplessly trying to guard.
