Lots for him to learn from with this game. He's been the key to our success. Hopefully, Lincoln Riley saw things Golden didnt...and he will now patch those up.
So he is effing good. That will do.Goolsby swears Golden is only as good as ND's CBs....I'm starting to believe him.
exactly it right here, they were exposed a bit, humbled ( Those players were not happy after letting USC walk down the field for the last garbage TD- you could see it in their expressions) and now have 20 days to get it cleaned up and hopefully a bit of a chip on shoulder for the playoff game.Lots for him to learn from with this game. Goolsby says a lot of things, many of which are not true or just opinion based on nothing objective.Goolsby swears Golden is only as good as ND's CBs....I'm starting to believe him.
He blitzes a lot so his corners have to play a lot of man. Not a horrible take considering.Goolsby swears Golden is only as good as ND's CBs....I'm starting to believe him.

Having Botelho/Traore and Cross out there would’ve helped a lot too. Their QB was very good at getting the ball out under pressure but with our best pass rushers that would’ve been harder. At the same time, he blitzes a lot because he knows he has good corners I'm sure. The defense has been wiped out with injuries. Put Morrison on the field and we win this by 28+. Just one of those things.

Good thing there isn't a good quarterback in college football at least. Our pass rush is horrible and will be the worst among playoff teams. Not nearly enough talent up front. Corners don't have a fair shake against a legit team.
Texas and Oregon will carve us to high heaven.Good thing there isn't a good quarterback in college football at least.
Have you watched Texas? They're not that great lolTexas and Oregon will carve us to high heaven.
Yesterday, full game. They have a complete team unless yesterday was an anomaly. Dangerous at every level, rushing, passing, defense gets after QB and is constantly in backfired. And DBs are everywhere.Have you watched Texas? They're not that great lol
They would not be much better than USC
USC actually has a lot of incompletions but they made some huge timely first down conversions (often times for chunk yards).
And people need to understand the east cost to west coast noon local time game and fatigue factor (especially for guys like Hinish and Rubio)
Yeah, LR was thoroughly embarrassed by Al last season. I am sure he had some extra motivation going into this season’s game to try and redeem himself. Say what you want to about him, he is a good play caller.Lincoln Riley didn’t sleep at a Holiday Inn Express last night and wake up calling plays for USC.
A lot of people here and in the press predicted this would be “The LR game”, and it certainly was.
Defense could have done more, but sometimes you just gotta win a shoot out. It happens to everyone.
Georgia has given up 40+ twice this season.

Luckily we won't have to worry about either at least until the semis.Texas and Oregon will carve us to high heaven.

Well yeah because he leaves them 1v1 on the outside… USC is the first team to be like “you know, I think our WRs are good enough to come down with at least half of these jump balls.” And Golden kept blitzing and not getting home.Goolsby swears Golden is only as good as ND's CBs....I'm starting to believe him.
The height of the USC receivers was evident on all the jump balls and the QB did a nice job with ball placement. When he was under pressure, then he certainly made mistakes but indeed the rush was not getting home consistently.Well yeah because he leaves them 1v1 on the outside… USC is the first team to be like “you know, I think our WRs are good enough to come down with at least half of these jump balls.” And Golden kept blitzing and not getting home.
As been said.
D would have been better with Cross.
It’s a rivalry game. While I expected the Irish to roll, USC saw this as a rivalry game and a chance for a little redemption on the season. They played arguably their best game of the season.
When it came down to crunch time the D delivered.
The D took that last series off. Glad to see MF get in their faces.
They’ve now faced a pretty good offense with good receivers. A good learning experience heading into the playoffs. Gives everyone some focus.
