And at no point does Al Washington note that he has 3 DL on the field for a goal line situation.

This is where I'm also leaning. It almost certainly has to be his responsibility at the end of the day. How does a position coach not note that he doesn't see his four best running out on the field coming out of a timeout?

I don't think I'll be able to let this go lol. I just don't understand how someone can keep their job after that.

My biggest fear was that ND lacked the defensive front to pressure McCord. That fear was realized as McCord carved up ND w/ plenty of time to make plays. This OSU OL was supposed to be inferior w/ a transfer from SDSU at LT, a lowly recruited center & a RT that couldn’t win the LT job. They may not be good enough to beat scUM but they were good enough to make McCord look like a cool, calm, collected veteran.

Especially in a goal line situation. It’s almost his entire job while down on the field. Tracking his rotations and substitutions.

For someone, myself, who’s been on the Washington is uber overrated train since the beginning. I will never let this go. It’s exactly what I always feared. We hired a recruiter and lost a coach.

Javontae Jean-Baptiste (former Buckeye) was the missing DL on the last 2 plays? Last player off the field after the game was Javontae Jean-Baptiste ( hugging his former coaches). Coaches should have noticed, but odd he didn't go out the last 2 plays in a row.

Having 10 players on field is just inexcusable and I’m dumbfounded no one knew it

Saban would fire his coach if he pulled that kind of incompetence. If it were a DB then less offensive. Since it was a power run off left tackle where we weren’t in position that affected the result. Totally lame.

Bro what the actual fuck
And people got pissed for me slamming coaching after the game… didn’t know it was 10 for 2 plays but it was clear something was wrong

If you don’t expect and believe someone(s) to be held accountable for those coaching failures then you accept losing

I am not sure if I can let the last 4 mins go. The coaching was beyond Kelly era at that point. We are talking Willingham type coaching.

Agree, freeman does a lot of things really well, but I can’t think of worse in game coaching than last night. Abomination of decisions last 4 minutes with a veteran team

The eyes in the sky said nothing? How many people are in the booth and not one noticed? I also don’t like MF’s excuse of not taking a half yard penalty.

The ‘bend don’t break’ gameplay was fine enough to win but where he lost me was some of the matchups (Harper/Emeka..JD/Henderson) and those last two plays.

Freeman said they don’t want to risk injury practicing tackling. Well you better do something because talking isn’t working.

I thought it was Bohtello but I haven’t seen one way or the other.

I can’t tell who is next to JJB, maybe Sneed, which indicates it’s probably Bohtello who is missing.

Sneed lined up there a few times throughout the game so I’m wondering if Bohtello saw him run out so stayed back? Ultra-guessing on my part.

Baptiste was on the field. It was Botelho or whoever was supposed to be in his place who wasn’t there.

It looks like Watts is next to him so it comes down to Bohtello or Sneed? Maybe Burnham.

But it’s gotta be Bohtello.

Just moronic

Could you imagine the uproar if Kelly was this stupid???

Freeman doesn't really control this team like he should. Too much of a nice guy. Not an operator. Fire the DL Coach now for such incompetence. He won't.

All is well here. Nothing to see here.... we are an exceptional Top 15 Program with great academics.

He did last year too, why we gave us such a high percentage of tds in red zone, we had 5 dl in on fourth and goal stop earlier
Rush 3 upfront and Nickle prevent zone the rest of the play on an inexperienced QB. Give him time to make a play. Incredibly bad call.

Bad coaching everywhere. Freeman needs to be held accountable so he keeps his staff accountable. They lost this game.

Kelly sent two guys onto the field wearing the same number in 2012 against Pitt when Pitt was attempting a game winning field goal that was pretty much a chip shot. Pitt missed so people tend to forget that.

Anyhow, I guess the answer is yes because Kelly did all kinds of stupid shit.

Saw somewhere he was leaving the stadium after 20min post game. If that’s true that’s nuts.
Who? Golden? To be fair, after the last drive, I'd probably be too upset with myself to hang around either. The film, and the players, will still be there in the morning.
