Isn’t Labrador supposed to be beautfiul?
I think it can be, but you can get those sights in Newfoundland or any of the other Maritime provinces with actual civilization around.

I know you all are going to give me a thousand thumbs down but there is nothing unique about “the American Spirit” it’s the human spirit that is remarkable and found in every society in the world. God bless all those who put their lives on the line to help save others without using violence across this whole wonderful world. God bless all those who lost their lives on that horrible day. And condolences to all of us who lost so many rights to the security apparatus that failed us that day and then used the tragedy to co-opt more power. I will never forget as everyday people came together to help and support one another the people in power who should have been held to account for letting it happen were able to consolidate power and use the tragic event to right laws that took more power from the majority and gave it to the power elite. So many hero's. The "American Spirit".
God bless all of those who died and their families.
Thanks for saying this. 9/11 was undoubtedly a tragedy given the number of casualties but Neocons used the emotional response to it to fight two utterly pointless wars that killed millions. Don't let them use this to justify what's going on right now.I know you all are going to give me a thousand thumbs down but there is nothing unique about “the American Spirit” it’s the human spirit that is remarkable and found in every society in the world. People don't forget what happened. It's just that time went on, people die, people are born who have only history to learn about, not remember. Few Americans today REMEMBER Pearl Harbor, but we can still honor those lost that day, just like 9/11.
New York hasn't forgotten, it has just evolved. Those who are upset that Mamdani is Muslim are bigger snowflakes than anyone else, I don't care if I get downvoted for that. He isn't a terrorist. He isn't a fundamentalist. He isn't Al-Qaeda. No one was ever upset like this at Japanese Americans holding office after Pearl Harbor. Grow up.
You can't put it all on the neocons. The neoliberals did nothing to stop it. Both parties were fully involved with the security that was raised out of 9/11. I believe Bernis gave a speech but still voted for all of it or at least the majority it.Thanks for saying this. 9/11 was undoubtedly a tragedy given the number of casualties but Neocons used the emotional response to it to fight two utterly pointless wars that killed millions. NYPD and FDNY first responders are heroes. George W. Bush is not.
The lack of transparency around the 9/11 commission and the dissatisfaction of victims' families should not be minimized.

It's true. It wasn't all of us, or even many of us - but there were Americans that reacted very negatively towards anyone that they thought was Muslim. I shared that aspect with my students today. My uncle (by marriage) is from Egypt and is Egyptian-Jewish. He runs a hair salon in North Jersey and lost customers after 9/11 because people looked at him and assumed he was Muslim. And these were consistent customers - not even just people walking in that had never met him. 9/11 and the immediate aftermath was complex and sometimes messy. It's important for us to remember and teach about all aspects of what happened. It's possible to address some of the more negative aspects without diminishing the stories of the victims and heroes.Wear any down votes with pride.
Nostalgia and willfull ignorance have cause many to forget how Sikhs were treated after that day.
Turbans riped of heads. New slurs thrown around. Hate crimes against anyone who looked arab rose over 1000%.... an innocent man was murdered.
"For many Sikhs, the most enduring symbol of the post-9/11 backlash remains Balbir Singh Sodhi, a 52-year-old Arizona gas station owner who became the first fatal victim of a hate crime linked to the attacks. Mistaken for a Muslim because of his turban and beard, Sodhi was shot dead at his Chevron gas station in Mesa, Arizona, on Sept 15, 2001, just four days after the attacks.
Each year, Sikh Americans gather at the site to commemorate his death. This year, faith leaders and community members are expected to assemble once again to honour his memory and reflect on the journey of the past quarter century."

They only care that he's muslim. MAGA only cares about white straight christians.I guess trying to feed the poor and down trodden affordable healthy food because of food deserts in NYC isn't American then.
He sure doesn't seem to hate the people he is trying to help which all are Americans. So what does it mean to be American to you?
Was FDR not an American? Was Nixon not an American? How about you go learn about American history. Because before the "Red Scare", Cold War, and McCarthyism there were socialists in power all across America. The funniest thing is that was when America actually actually had the number one health care system, education, economy, Maybe the MAGA's should go make America like that again.
Israel? There's another country they care about...
Obviously nothing to do with me but I’ve always connected with MC’s story bc he lost to the California champs that represented America in 91,… I lost to the California champs (eventual back to back world champs) that represented America in both 92 and 93… six degrees and all that. We also wore the same number,… it’s just odd how we all find our little connections with this stuff
