I mean, whatever. If he signs with UGA, is he going to actually stay there?

There should be a line around The Gug of running backs that want to come to ND. The proof is in the NFL and in this upcoming draft.

The "Price to beat" has now been set. Someone will beat it.

The best thing about competing with a team like Georgia in the NIL world is that they are in on lots of 5 stars, so they wont break the bank for any one. As long as you are willing to overpay, a team like PSU should be able to beat them in the end. Everyone just needs to let this kid stay committed to UGA on paper for the next 10 months so they dont end up bidding against themselves.

Dohn said he flat out said PSU was his leader a few weeks ago, and it sounded like it was trending towards reclassifying/signing with PSU on his visit. Then he skipped the visit - “weather”. Now commits to UGA - which blindsided PSU - and likely staying in 2027…….but will take visits.

LOL

This is the type of kid that is going to get NIL deals with buyouts in them, big buyouts.

He visited ND, liked it, told reporters he would wait until signing day, the reporters put in predictions anyway because the coaches felt good about the recruitment, he didn't commit, visits other schools and likes them and still holds to his original schedule and fans start shit talking him.

Of all the problem actors in this, I don't think he is near the top of the list.
Would you like to double down on this?

Stop ….. if he did what he did but committed to us, you’d be all horned up. Don’t pout now cause it wasn’t us (yet)
Stop my ass. I didn't say that he's not a good RB talent-wise, but he's a fuckin' diva. You want that shit festering in the locker room, especially within other RB's? FUCK NO!

so is the kid from Arizona i believe that visited this past fall for a game our new main target

Loy had an article yesterday about him and other targets. Seider wants him bad, arguably top of the board. That said, he wouldn't get into it, but ND screwed up his visit and now running behind maybe 4,5 schools. They are working hard to get back in it.

Film Guy Network reviewed his tape last night after committing to Georgia. The dude is definitely a stud.

Then they said that from what they've heard on back channels that money wasn't a diving force in this recruitment. 🤣🤣🤣

Still think the last visit gets him.

We will have plenty of RBs with a variety of skill sets available and won’t miss him. Team chemistry is way more important. If we want him later he will be in the portal like every other greedy kid.

You hang out with him ? He rub you the wrong way? … as far as I can tell, he committed to one school , de-committed because Penn st fell apart and fired franklin. Since then, he’s taken visits to several big time schools and shown interest in them (as most recruits do). He was NEVER an ND commit , and NEVER re-committed to PSU. So because some super awesome social media outlets have said he may be a “silent” somewhere , now he’s a diva ?

What's the point of "committing" anymore? The whole concept is silly.
I think there are still plenty of recruits who intend to honor their word but in some cases it just seems to be a placeholder unless/until a better offer is received.

I mean, ND had zero decommits last cycle
Yep, ND’s commitments have usually been solid and it says a lot about the fellas being recruited as well as the approach of the staff. Across the sport as a whole, that‘s certainly not always the case.

The 5 stars really shouldnt commit until NSD to drive up the price. For most others, they need to secure a spot

Last year is not a great example due to so much coaching changes, but it wouldn’t shock me if senior year decommitments are actually way down. Guys are signing contracts in the summer with claw backs. Earlier verbals like Spells commitment to PSU over a year ago are probably useless, but were they ever solid anyways?
