I agree. It could be a factor. But sometimes when we go big game hunting, we cant always assume money. We sound whiney lol

I would say when we go big game hunting, we actually have to assume money is a one of a few main deciding factors.

It’s on CFB fans as a whole to get used to talking about money and it’s not whining to do so. For example Michigan offered Lopati more than us. They won, we lost. We moved on to Bourque and Monds. Probably will end up paying more than OSU on Monds. No whining, but money is happening, it’s gonna be discussed.

All fair. I just never got the vibe Dollar was playing the money game to the extent of others. At the end of the day, none of us know the full story on any of these kids lol

I also can't imagine Monds was cheaper than Lopati when you look at who was chasing both. Staff just seems to be very selective on who / what positions they decide to shell out for.

it’s probably smart money to not go back to back classes with the top top tight end on your board given the price at a non premium position

FWIW - Georgia signed this kid last year
Interesting to see what Kirbys angle is since TE has been a strength at ND for years...besides the Bowers flash in the pan..."Our players have more DUIs then ND"

This isn't quite over per ISD 🤔

Aligns with random on3 UGA poster with connection on their coaching staff.

“I don't know where he's going but I was told it's not Georgia today and provided screenshots to one of the insiders here. Now like anything in Nil no one knows for sure”

Guys source is on defensive side of Dollar’s coaching staff

Also said that Denbrock made a huge impression this week. Is that who went to see him?

Granted I think we'll be fine if we don't get him but it appears the coaching staff definitely wants him. I wouldn't be surprised if they continue to recruit him regardless if he commits to Georgia and vice versa

The fact ND is making it this interesting tells me that we're super in the NIL game at this point and anyone who thinks otherwise is delusional.
I'm honestly a little surprised they'd be this willing to spend this much money on a TE after Premer, but it looks like ND is wanting everything now

Love this. If we pull this off it shows ND isn’t fucking around anymore. We are full throttle until we get that natty. And hopefully we don’t back off after we win it all.

This happened last year with Premer for me. I've never seen ND so obviously say "alright what about for a big bag of cash?" before.
FWIW KSU beats said it wasn’t NIL. I listened to a podcast last year after he committed and they basically said they underestimated Notre Dame the entire time

I foolishly subscribed to Irish Illustrated for the 12th time, and of course it’s crickets over there about any true insider information over this decision.

If it makes you feel better, On3 is quiet too

At least ON3 UGA has some info.

I know I’ve complained about this a million times, but Irish Illustrated is starved of actual VIP information. I’m pretty sure I could just go out myself and get information.
