Looks like bad weight but that’ll change with a couple years in a college strength program.
Has the frame at 6-5 to be massive RT type
No argument about his weight. He’s not one of those 275lb kids that will need to be built up, just refined.

He's currently entering the second half of his junior year in high school. It's going to be fine. He'll be introduced to the S&C program and salads soon enough.

Skill set is quite good.

He's an absolute house and it doesn't look sloppy.

Could get down to 320 if he deleted the salad.

Decent rep by our guy. The rep apparently was straight line speed bull rush --- max negative situation for our guy especially with no helmet. The opponent should not be allowed to punch near the head. (I'd call it a dirty play.) Also note footgear.

My point is that our guy has nothing to protect in this drill except not letting the opponent get by him --- he didn't. Had he NOT retreated [i.e. had he run blocked] he would have easily been looped around by the rusher. ... plus any criticism, including my own opinion, is pretty stupid on one pretty random looking rep.

When I coached OL, I never had my guys work protection if they weren’t at least in pro pads (helmets/shoulder pads). It’s so hard to get an authentic rep with your punches without them. Injury is a distinct possibility—for O/D alike.

The only thing you can really glean from these drills for an OL is their get-off and footwork at the point of attack. Don’t pay attention to anything they’re doing above the waist.

Completely agree. These reps are MADE for the defense to win. Other than what you said, take nothing out of these for the offense.

lol if the OL blocks as they would with a helmet on in a game situation they'd end up with a broken nose or teeth. these drills are dumb

Yes! It almost becomes an entirely different sport when there are no pads. I’ve even seen some of the fastest people on the planet run very pedestrian just by adding pads. Hand placement and many many other variables with/without pads.

Interesting that he got the invite over the #120 composite ranked player in the country in Sam Greer. I've thought he was underrated, but continued to be impressed by his power and how he carries all that weight.

That is freaking huge... hopefully not too big. As a high schooler, some of that weight may be bad weight.
