Sometimes you get a Josh Allen, a dude who gets more accurate with more time. Sometimes you get a Wimbush, who isn't as accurate as you'd hope, and gets the yips as things devolve.

Man, I really wanted Wimbush to do well. Seems like a real stand up dude that spoke highly of ND, BK, Rees, and everyone despite getting benched. He finished out at ND and has always been classy. I was actually happy Book got banged up against Northwestern and Wimbush got a nice send off against Florida State in 2018 to finish his career with a highlight. I was at that game, my buddy wanted to leave early cause it was cold, but I talked him into sticking around so we could watch him finish out.

I really do think Kelly ruined Wimbush. The kid had all of the talent in the world. He played well and seemed to regress as a QB and decision maker.

Par for the course with Kelly QB development. Seemed like the only guys that were somewhat successful outside of their 1st year were the lesser athletes that had exceptional high football IQ.

They’ll probally need to bring in a transfer in 2027 I’m guessing for a year untill Teddy takes over.

The guy just lost his first game and couldn’t get a TD against high school competition until the end of the game just to make it look a little better. If the dude can’t toss TDs in high school, what makes you think he’s gonna do it him college?

Did you watch the film? Didn’t his best receiver transfer? How’s the OL? I mean Christ… your comment makes it sound like every game should be 260+ yards and 3 TDs because… high school

Ive never been high on him and think hes a weak link in an other wise elite recruiting class. So im certainly not going to try and spin 9 (6 of which came in the last 50 secs) points as not concerning.

Arm talent is there from what I've seen. He's not being set up well for success in his current situation

This is what I took from it, he doesn’t have much talent around him put him on a team with some talent he’s probally a top 3 QB

"analysis" from some of the fans in this thread is truly lacking. It has been stated repeatedly every time Noah Grubbs gets mentioned that his Oline is going to be terrible this year and he lost his 3 best WRs from last year. I dont expect Grubbs to put him amazing stats this year and that will fuel some ND fans into dogpiling on him and asking for another QB.

I think this is one where ND fans will have to trust ND coaches. Remember, this is the QB they chose over pretty much every other one. ND got their guy. Some of you need to relax and analyze why his team may not look great instead of blaming it all on Grubbs.
