Who knows, but it feels like if Deuce was going to Auburn he would’ve committed by now. Which is not to say he winds up at Notre Dame of course.
I think when Deuce didn’t commit last weekend Auburn was like ok guess we better start looking around. Who knows with Deuce.

Freeman has said he doesn't mind early commitments because breaking up is hard. This saga is an example of that. If he wasn't already committed to ND, I think Duece is already committed and would go to war eagle.

Wake me up when this strategy actually pays off with QB recruiting more than once in a blue moon.

Wonder if MF is telling Deuce, you were our top priority from the start. Auburn only wanted you after they were rejected by others. See what happens if you keep delaying the commitment. We guarantee Auburn will move on, but we are in it till the end.

More updates from the Auburn Site

My sources still continue to be bullish on Auburn's chances with Deuce Knight.

However, if things turn south, I think Auburn is in a good position to flip Luke Nickel from Miami if it wants. Nickel is a GA kid who we have been communicating with for a few weeks now. I would not be surprised if he is on campus in the near future.

I'd say the problem with this is if you spend a year considering breaking up, hitting on other women at bars and online, and don't end up breaking up, you are probably not going to have a lifelong marriage. If Deuce signs with Notre Dame because he's afraid to disappoint Freeman and Denbrock and company, his heart isn't going to be in it and will end up transferring.

Not sure this logic applies to business decisions

I'm considering switching roles right now. A company I previously worked for is recruiting me back and I love the people and idea of working there. However, I haven't looked at any other companies yet, and feel I need to do so before accepting an offer from the aforementioned company. Does this mean I don't trust the people I previously worked with or that I wouldn't be committed to that job for the long haul? No. It just means I feel the need to vet other options to give me confidence in my decision.

But Deuce accepted the job and then kept looking for another one. 🤷🏻

In addition to Luke Nickel emerging as a target for Auburn, this update states Texas may emerge as a player for Deuce
This is playing out exactly like Moore. When are folks gonna wake TF up? Looking forward to Loy's love letter to the Knight family...

Bonus points for working your username into the post.

This is like the guy at a bar who finds a chick early who he knows he can take home for the night, then another chick says something to him on the way to the restroom and he gets enamored with her. Can't make up his mind. Story of my life when I was younger. lol

I get your analogy and appreciate it but this one feels more like you decided to go to Qdoba but pass a Chipotle on the way.

Hot Head Burrito tastes better than both, plus they don't have the history of E Coli that comes with Chipotle
Hot Head is great! Wish the one that was by us didn't close.

Loved being able to get pineapple on my burritos. That's a game changer.

I've been watching Luke for years, I would be shocked if he doesn't end up at Miami. Kids a gamer though, wish ND recruited this area harder. Milton/Roswell/Buford/Blessed Trinity/Gainesville need to be focused on more. I know Nickels best WR (CJ Wiley) is about to flip from FSU to UGA.....Kids a 6'4 monster and I've heard a great student....But the rumor is, he's never heard from ND....Not sure if that's true or not.

Is Nickel the brother of Jack?

Yeah, IIRC Nickel was one of the first Miami commits this class. Would be very hard to see him flipping, unless there's a family connection to Auburn I don't know about.

It's true. Jack got processed and there are hard feelings about it.

Throw in Walton and Marietta to get my Cobb County rep in;)

But seriously, I welcome the push to go after the Atlanta suburban public schools. Getting Knapp out of Roswell and Mullins out of Mill Creek was a big step forward. BT, Marist, Pace, and Woodward Academy will always be ones to keep a focus on. They'll produce talented kids that are already inclined to like a school like ND. But there are a ton of talented, high academic kids playing tough schedules in Atlanta metro public schools too.

Came here to say this is the guy I want as Deuce's replacement. Just because we didn't get our initial guy doesn't mean we should deviate from our strategy: get a high ceiling guy to follow Carr. Roll the dice. Get Jaron Keawe Sagapolutele.
