True. Though, from our perspective, he quickly bailed on the place that is more like Notre Dame (a private school in Nashville away from home) and went back to the place that is more like Auburn/Ole Miss (his hometown Deep South public school).
Or because he has a really close relationship with his family ... and his family wants him to go to Notre Dame

Taking a risk on a high upside QB is less of an issue in the portal era. ND, especially after Hartman’s success, is always going to be able to find an “average” QB if they need it.

If they think Deuce has elite upside, it’s worth the risk.
Take both Bear and Deuce. Stack the QB room with talent and let the best man win the job.

Deuce is exactly the type of QB you want in the class following a guy like Carr IMO. Carr should be a steady hand for several seasons. Gives you plenty of time to get Deuce ready and mold his crazy potential.

Agree, but he seems like he could be someone that doesn’t want to wait to be molded

Based on what? I don't have any subscriptions so I'm not privy to the inside info. Is he a problem kid? Why are they recruiting him so hard, ie #1 on their board?

Transferred to new HS, starts off bad and he doesn’t play well, now he’s “home sick” …

He’s super talented, not writing him off, but he may be mentally not a good fit for ND.

It’s why I said coaches probably need to do more due diligence on his mental side.

Yeah let's do a full mental eval of the kid. While we're at it, let's get some bloodwork, an EKG, Cat scan, some chest x-rays to make sure he has heart. While he's being evaluated let's throw a colonoscopy just to make sure he's not full of shit.

Thanks for answering. I'm not sure that I agree, but I don't know enough about it to disagree either.

I literally opened IB to see something else & that popped up as “1 second old.”

Talk about good timing.
