Phil, Pyne, & Buchner who all signed with ND, committed earlier.
So did Carr.
They all committed before their Junior season.
True, but comparing any recruitment pre-NIL/free transfer era to now is night and day. I have no idea what Deuce is like, but there are certainly way more incentives for players to look around these days, including for players already on the roster. Hopefully he is solid in his commitment and it all works out.

Is he just not playing HS FB for the rest of the year?

edit: NM - looks like we should see him at the end of their season. Don't love that he was homesick.
It’s a little more complicated.

Going away from your home at 16, to stay with a coach you really don’t know, while your mom gets put into an apartment nearby, & not knowing anybody on the team, and being alone everyday after football…
Is totally different than going to college at 18, after spending 2+ years building a relationship with the coaches & players, & spending your free time with friends you know.

I’m calling my shot;

Dominoes will fall after Knight…

Talyn Taylor
Meadows
Perry
Bettis (if ND wants him)
Strebig
Augustine
Flanigan
Cree Thomas
Ivan Taylor
Ethan Long

Then, if things shake out…
Mark Zachery
Chris Burgess
One of Black/Byrne (if ND wants)
CJ May

Outside chance at…
Owusu Boetang
Christian Jones (I think his dad being legacy the only reason Nebraska will get him as of now, but another trainwreck season could change that).
Sacca (Another legacy, at PSU).

Love the fearless forecast

Should we move to "who's next 2024?"

Certainly a positive sign in his recruitment. Well done Gino, Parker, Freeman.

I just want to say something that people need to remember.

The VAST majority of kids who commit to ND end up at ND.

People will remember the few that don’t and especially the ones that hurt.

But take away the kids ND pushed out and only look at the kids ND wanted, & 9 out of 10 sign with ND.
Inn the same vein, the vast majority of qb's that sign with ND don't end there. Most transfer in search of pt.

Moral of the story. Celebrate this big recruiting fellas! But there is only one starting qb. That is a difficult mountain to climb, and getting harder with the talent MF is stacking. Time will tell if Deuce has what it takes.

Deuce: I'm committed coach.
MFMF: OK great, now get the f**k out of Tennessee.
Ha. Good point. That's probably why the Gug "wasn't concerned" about him transferring back home. He'll probably still have Ole Miss and Auburn people around but that's different than living in Nashville if Tennessee wants him.

Freeman was hella excited about it in his presser today. Enough so that he opened his presser with that he got some really good news today.

Singer Soooooooo out of touch.

He put in his Futurecast for Bear a few days ago & double-downed on it last night.

Then this morning he says, “Bear waited, Knight didn’t,…” trying to make it seem like his pick was right, but Bear just waited too long.
No Singer, Knight already committed. Bear never got the chance.
And why do we care about these fools anyways??

Incredible news. The QB room at ND is STACKED for the foreseeable future. Welcome about Deuce!

That commitment video was one of my favorite ever. Seems like a special kid!
Its not really stacked next year though.

Angeli, Minchey, and Carr is the best three-man room we’ve seen here as long as I can remember, not that the bar has been very high. Lot of talent there and it would not surprise me one bit to see Minchey overtake Angeli in the offseason which would be fantastic news for all of us

Except for the part where Rees QB recruiting was questionable at best. Guidugli 1 for 1 with a grand slam thus far.

EDIT: Also, he kept both Harman and Carr in the fold after Reed bailed. So, like I said...

Gino >>>>>>>>>>>>>> Tommy.
Agree but I’m so jaded by top nd qbs not panning out in college… crist, wimbush, Phil, Buchner

I’m in wait and see mode but it’s a good get, you keep getting good gets every year a few will pan out instead of one every few years

Huh?
Zaire, Kizer, Wimbush was just as good, if not better. Book was in that room too as a Freshman.
