I’m guessing even if he stuck there’s no way he’d have ever played at ND. The way Carr is playing he would sat this year and next at least. Does anyone think that a recruit of his caliber would’ve sat the bench until 2027 for a shot?

I think he’s got huge potential but is totally raw……I was expecting at least two year’s of seasoning before he was ready to compete for a starting position. Based on how his recruitment went, my expectations that he’d have that kind of patience were low.
What's Auburn paying him this year? I'm sure their patience for him sitting at 3rd string is low too.

Dante Moore seems to be doing alright

If it was always down to either Moore or Carr, I'm glad we got Carr (I know they weren't in the same class, but Moore clearly was threatened after CJ's verbal).

I literally thought about him too when writing my post and IMO the difference was that Dante Moore seemed to be a good kid but his handlers kept him away from the schools he wanted to go to and Douche Knight was the one driving the chaos. It seems Dante took control of his life and is now thriving because he made the decision to go to Oregon and sit for a year to better himself for this year. Deuce is going to bust big time.

You do everything you can to keep Minchey for at least another year to backup CJ and then after next year if he decides to transfer if CJ isn't going pro then you gotta be ok with that.
Minchy is going to get a decent sized bag to play somewhere else, we probably wouldn't spend the kind of resources to keep him even if he was OK riding the bench.

He is never going to live up to his potential if he doesn't stay at a school long enough to learn the playbook

But most of us knew this probably wasn’t going to work. Hugh Freeze was not a great coach at Ole Miss not sure why other thought Auburn would
Be any better. Even when they were winning with Newton the school still seemed different.

The day he de-committed, give me a kid with class like Carr.
Hahaha, I pissed off a group of Auburn fans a couple weeks ago. One of them said, “I can see it happening any time!!! Then we’ll all be chanting , ‘The Deuce is Loose”. I overheard their loud, drunk assholes since we were in Applebees and it’s loud in there if a moderate crowd is there & talking with their “inside voice”. Without pause, the smart ass in me popped up & before I realized it, “Y’all got the shits?”

This is a serious question because I don’t know, but has there ever been a kid that was committed to ND publicly for a long period of time and gone elsewhere and worked out? I’m thinking of guys like Peyton Bowen, Tee Shepherd and Chris Martin.
Ronald Darby did well. Does Randy Moss count?
