Any chance he goes high in the MLB draft this week?
I don't think he's an elite level baseball prospect like Max Clark, right now. I think he's more likely to follow the developmental path.

He's a higher level prospect than I originally realized.

Honestly I feel like the direction of the baseball program at ND the last couple of years could really be detrimental to us. I don’t have inside info per se—but he is a SERIOUS baseball kid as evidenced by his commitment to Vandy. Guys I know that know him have always said he plays football bc he enjoys it, but it’s only been recently that he really committed time to his football development that would mirror the time he’s put into baseball.

Ranked #40 SAF in new On3 rankings update. Was previously unranked. Also, is an 89 which high three-star.

In comparison, Ethan Long is #52 SAF.

Very fair point but Vandy has been down (for Vandy standards). I think the Dores are going to be hurt by NIL leveling the playing field. Vandy is still miles ahead of ND baseball program but I think ND could sell him on South Bend being the better destination.

Get some Julian Love vibes watching this kid. 2 sport stud with instincts and some good measurables.
I'd roll with him as Taylor's replacement.
Good freebie from Sinclair with his coach.

F--- Taylor, get 'er done! Great background on Logan. Committed to Vanderbilt for baseball at age 14; only now coming into his football capabilities and he appears to like football better and would want to play football for no one other than ND. And his father seems to be encouraging him that although he would feel bad telling Vandy he has had a change of heart, they will understand and again, he committed to Vandy at 14. Also some good background on how the various rounds of the pro baseball draft work. I see Irish 🍀🍀in his future... Now, go get 'er done!🍀

This kid is a better baseball player? Seems like our baseball coach could get a potential flip if he offered, he could be a boost to our baseball team, and could he still play football if baseball was his primary offer from ND?

Baseball scholarships are only partial. If we want to flip this kid it will likely take a full football scholarship from day one.

Tha partial scholarship part is irrelevant. If he plays a snap of football he is required to be on football scholarship.

Yes, I'm fully aware that he would count as a football scholarship if he played a snap.

It's relevant in year 1 (likely) and possibly year 2. Some schools would try to convince him to come play both sports. Be a baseball scholarship in year 1 assuming no snaps in football and then flip to a football scholarship in year 2 or 3.

I'm saying that I don't think that kind of arrangement would likely cause Brandon to flip. It will take a full football scholarship from day 1.

You think he'll give up a Vandy baseball scholarship for a tryout? I think ab2cmiller is right.

Vandy isn’t what it used to be but it is a lot better than our baseball program.

His Vandy baseball scholarship is probably a 1/4. My buddy coached Schwarber and #1 OA pick Spencer Torkelson... neither ever had a full scholarship.

That said, he'll pay nothing to attend either school in the NIL era.

And an NIL / PWO pkg from ND most likely blows away a "scholarship" offer / NIL pkg from Vandy.

He's coming to ND unless Lea offers a scholarship... and he probably still comes to ND as a PWO over a full ride FB offer from Lea

This … they’re giving really good nil packages to top baseball players because normal scholarship is 1/4 -1/2

We know as well as anyone that program success ebbs and flows. Vandy views themselves a baseball school first and foremost and they’ll make sure they get back to Omaha before long.

I love baseball players that play football. Drastically underrated how freakishly athletic baseball players at the college and professional level are

He’s the type of player that MUST circle himself in highlight videos
Because he doesn't stand out? He's the one returning interceptions for TDs in his highlight video. I figured it out pretty quick. Also the one filling running lanes and forcing fumbles.

Not 1, or 2, nor 3… but 4. I don’t know a college baseball season that didn’t play in the World Series.

Play for Tech.

For the team that gave up 12 runs in the bottom of the 9th with two outs and no one on?!

I only kid as an IPFW baseball guy. Have plenty of friends that played at Tech!
