If we land him I feel a lot better with our safety situation especially considering our starters this year will all be back next year. We need 4 safeties in this class both of our corner commits could grow into safeties too
So, this is a realistic dream scenario for me, but what if Tae commits, & you have Davis Andrews, Lane, Mencke, Gallegos, Miles, McClain & Zigler all realistic options.
Then you flip Beasley, which I say is better than 50/50 right now.
You wouldn’t need 4 Safties, just 3 since you would have Beasley, Moore & Hobbs.

So they would have 2, with Tae & Urlacher, with 5-7 of the other Safety targets being better Safety prospects than Urlacher in my opinion.

So do you force Urlacher out or just move him to LB and recruit a Safety in his place.

A class of the following would be an A in my book. If you got three of the 1 group that would be an A+

CB Beasley
CB Moore
CB Hobbs
S Johnson (1A)
S Andrews/Lane/McClain (1B)
S Miles/Mencke/Zigler (2)

Then Gallegos and Urlacher are 3 for me.

If you get Johnson, one of the other group 1 & Urlacher I would still give it a A-.
Johnson, Group 2 and Urlacher would be B+.

I think ND will miss on Kyngstonn and Chris Cole so Urlacher will probably be moved to LB in the next year or two.

Urlacher won't be processed bc of the last name

Not process, just keep recruiting his position & if he wants to stay, move him to LB down the road, or he makes the decision himself to move on.
Who do you feel is the best SS type prospect if Tae is more of a FS? Also, if I am Tae and ND, I sell the shit out of working my ass of in the classroom to make this happen. Send a message to others

All 3 in the 1B category I would gladly take.
I like Davis Andrews a lot. If he wasn’t a white kid in Utah, he’s a top 150 player.
Him possibly doing a 2 year Mormon mission scares me though.
If ND finished with Johnson, Andrews & one of McClain/Lane, I would be ecstatic.

Yeah andrews means nothing as a 24 recruit. A commitment just puts you in the drivers seat for him as a 26 prospect. But numbers wise for safeties for now or scholarship numbers it means nothing.

Urlacher is a future Sniper like Jarell White was at Cincy. I'll be surprised if he ever gets clock at Safety

Paul Menke is all I care about on ND's Safety board. The rest are numbers to work with.

“At this point, I’m really just trying to make a decision,” Johnson told ISD. “In the next couple of weeks, I’ll get to visit at least three schools. I’ll be at Notre Dame first, which is coming up this weekend. I want to be sure of my decision.”

Wish we were his last visit so we're fresher in his mind once he decides.

If he makes it to campus and signs with the Irish, Tae will be one of my favorite rooting interests for the duration of his career. I hope it's 3-4 years.

Love kids who put in the work and don't shy away from the challenge.
It will bode well for him or anyone in a lot of aspects of life if you learn to work for what you want.

He should move to the 23 class if that’s the case
I doubt if his academic renaissance gets him past admissions early. But if he can get into a prep school for his senior year it might help for both the academic side and football.

That same attitude on the field is going to put him in a great position to do well.
