Lord I am ready to be Loy'd again
Loy says that ND is the team to beat here
I've suspected that. But wouldn't the offer indicate that he takes care of business in the classroom?I would be shocked…but hey, I’m here for it.
He’s a good kid. I’ve officiated quite a few of his basketball games. I just know NorthSide is not exactly a pipeline to ND, academically.
The only assumption I would make is that they think there is at least a possibility he could clear admissions. He's only a sophomore, so I doubt anyone really knows for sure. Make the offer if you think it's possible and then figure out the rest later.I've suspected that. But wouldn't the offer indicate that he takes care of business in the classroom?
I mean, I think we’ve all seen the “work still to do” type of offers over the years, but generally I’d say the staff must feel good about him clearing admissions to put the offer out there.I've suspected that. But wouldn't the offer indicate that he takes care of business in the classroom?
I'd feel a lot better if he transferred to Dwenger or Luers. Surely those schools could find enough "financial aid" for a stud athlete, right? The only assumption I would make is that they think there is at least a possibility he could clear admissions. I'm in agreement with the rest of the Fort Wayne guys. It speaks nothing to Tae's academic standing, but given the overall academic reputation of North Side, I'm skeptical.
I mean, absolutely. The vast majority of athletes at Luers especially were southside FWCS kids through elementary and middle school. Plus, with the way school funding works in Indiana, most kids can attend a private at no cost…IF the private school accepts them.I'd feel a lot better if he transferred to Dwenger or Luers. My man. Are you always this miserable? No effing way?
Seriously?
I never thought in a million years this kid would want to go to ND?
Huh?My man. Are you always this miserable?
I can't think of a single one. The closest thing I could think to even resemble would be Sheldon day from Warren Central in Indy.I mean, I think we’ve all seen the “work still to do” type of offers over the years, but generally I’d say the staff must feel good about him clearing admissions to put the offer out there.
For anybody local to NE Indiana, can anybody tell me the last FWCS kid to play at ND?
I've never felt more confident that this is a waste-of-time-recruitment.
Some guy on 247 posted the following:
He grew up with Tae's coach.
He'll be the next ND star out of Fort Wayne.
Smart kid from an academics first household.
His Dad / Grandpa are big ND fans.
Grew up idolizing his cousin... Jaylon Smith.

Spot on. That’s the only apt comparison in the area even though New Haven is EACS (as was the old Harding High School) as opposed to FWCS. ‘24 Mylan Graham is from New Haven, so it stands to reason we have a decent shot at landing our first FWCS kid in at least a couple decades and our first kid from New Haven on the gridiron.I did look at New Haven High School's academic profile (VJ Beacham) and North Side does seem to have a better overall profile than New Haven. So who knows.

Jaylon Smith you say? I guess not having BVG as DC puts us in an advantageous position. Some guy on 247 posted the following:

Hey, hey, hey. Easy on the New Haven slander. I turned out okay in life.I did look at New Haven High School's academic profile (VJ Beacham) and North Side does seem to have a better overall profile than New Haven. So who knows.
As a school admin in the area, I think EACS might be the most diverse district in the entire state. You’ve got four high schools with three/four very different sets of cultural dynamics. But, I do agree that the academic profile of EACS is probably better as a whole than FWCS.Hey, hey, hey. Easy on the New Haven slander. I turned out okay in life.
I would say they’re probably similar. East Allen County Schools (in general) are probably a tad better in academics than Fort Wayne Community Schools.
Also, Mylan (New Haven 2024 WR) has some ramping up to do in the classroom according to my source, but is a great kid. I’ll lean on others for info on Tae.

Touché 😂. To be fair, I only did it since it benefited the players. Better than the damn “donation” we pay for our season tickets every year.Debatable. You have an NFT as your profile picture.
As a school districts nerd, I’d enjoy hearing more about each of the schools. Both of my parents were in education, this sort of thing made for some of the best dinner table conversations. As a school admin in the area, I think EACS might be the most diverse district in the entire state. I like New Haven. Gimme some Rack & Helen’s any day!
Per ISD visited with his dad today. Also says ND has a “significant lead”
Johnson and Peyton Woodyard would be a really nice Safety haul in the 2024 class.Per ISD visited with his dad today. Also says ND has a “significant lead”
