KVA, Ausberry, and Madden have thrived in this defense so far. I think ND will start using Madden more.

I don’t think any of the linebackers are thriving this year. They have a combined 4.5 tackles for loss this season. They are playing passive and reactionary. You might be right that those are some of the better of the bunch though.

Sorry, I agree I don't think Ausberry & Madden are thriving, but I do think KVA is. I think that Ausberry has played better than Bowen & Sneed and hope to see more of Madden. I feel that Bowen and Sneed have taken a step back and I am surprised about Bowen.

KVA is a boss. Versus Arkansas, KVA was third in snap count & had only 8 more snaps then Sneed who has been ghostly this season.

Watching D I usually don't know where to watch the ND side of ball (could just watch the ball but you miss a lot of what your team is doing) but I am thinking the rule should be watch 27. This is after having a quick rewatch through the Boise state game skipping the offense.

I agree, opposing offenses should watch for KVA, he's been so fun to watch and he's a confident player.

One of the most fluid players I've ever watched on film. Absolute jumps off the screen in All-22.

Invest the entire NIL fund on the Trinity League.

If we can keep him from making stupid penalties that would be the icing on the cake.
I'm very much an old school "just get back in the huddle" kind of guy (especially for someone in their low 30s lol) but I don't think it was necessary to flag him for that. Ref must've thought he did a throat slash...but he didn't.

As we saw with the ghost facemask penalty on Burnham...that's as situation where a ref is just looking for any little reason to throw a flag.

For all you old cats out there, his "celebration" where he got his penalty is one of the more popular ones throughout college football. A lot of kids do that after big plays, touchdowns, etc. It was not a throat slash like Osweiler said.
