We're at 82 right now, so unless MF is planning to add 3 more transfers, there should be plenty of room.Probably depends on if we are at 85 in August. You all know how that goes

I’d bank on there still being 82 scholarships by the time fall rolls around. We're at 82 right now, so unless MF is planning to add 3 more transfers, there should be plenty of room.

It's early and I've only had one cup of coffee but so confused at this thread. Is what Mac wrote here a (perhaps sarcastic) prediction or a statement of fact?
As a walk-on this guy sounds great. As a scholarship freshman I'd agree it's fairly weak. Even if we are desperate. Go find a transfer with a couple seasons left on the clock and if this kid earns a scholarship in practice give him one next year.
II poster said he ran 10.72 100 meters at the state meet.
He’s gonna end up being one of the best players in this class isn’t he
I hope so. One of my favorite aspects of the college game is watching these sleepers/walkons beat the odds and seize their opportunity. Easy to root for.II poster said he ran 10.72 100 meters at the state meet.

Did he go on scholarship?6’3 and 10.72 100’s are normally things that get people excited, we’ll see. I will say that Carter and Talich’s commitments likely change the math at S to some degree.
No. But if I had to guess it’s trending that way.Did he go on scholarship?
Yeah I’m actually excitied to see what he can do I think he will make a impactNo. But if I had to guess it’s trending that way.
I want to hear reports coming out in fall camp about how that track speed was legit and he'll be hard to keep off the run teams. Athletes with that size and speed are how elite special teams are comprised.6’3 and 10.72 100’s are normally things that get people excited, we’ll see. Because they all become LBs?Personally, if he’s really 6’3”, I think that cuts against my optimism with him. 6’3” safeties are rare for a reason.
Typically because they are wrs or yes become lbs. he’s very thin but isn’t afraid of contact. That is a bit more rare for tall fast and thin(to like contact)Personally, if he’s really 6’3”, I think that cuts against my optimism with him. 6’3” safeties are rare for a reason.
I like my Safties taller, like 6’4…you know, 6’4.5 like Kyle Hamilton.Personally, if he’s really 6’3”, I think that cuts against my optimism with him. 6’3” safeties are rare for a reason.
Great read! I haven't really been following this story, but I am definitely rooting for this kid. Really easy to root for.I came across this awhile back. This is a Notre Dame grey shirt. Brilliant if you ask me. Get him on campus and competing for 1 year and see how he stacks up against 2024 S’s for a scholarship.

The Notre Dame walk-on from Wyoming daring to chase a dream
Luke Talich turned down P5 scholarships to pay his own way at Notre Dame, giving himself one year to earn a scholarship at his dream school.theathletic.com
“Notre Dame said they have five guys leaving between the safety and linebacker room. So they have five scholarships opening up. And so they think that I’ll be better than any 2024 safety that they want,” Talich said. “So that’s the kind of their plan for me right now. Obviously, I’d have to prove that to them.
Rudy, Rudy, Rudy ...I see this as all upside and no downside. The kid has even said publicly that if it doesn’t workout that at least he tried. He’s very well aware he’s up against the odds here but willing to give it a go. He’s also a legit 6’2-6’3 running sub 11’s for the last 3 years. Perfect flier to take
Kyle Hamilton says hello.Typically because they are wrs or yes become lbs. he’s very thin but isn’t afraid of contact. That is a bit more rare for tall fast and thin(to like contact)
Yes. Let’s compare a walk on to a unicorn 5 star SafetyKyle Hamilton says hello.
I assume you are agreeing with me. It’s part of why he’s so good and Hamilton is rare. Probably why he got injured a bit more than you’d like too.Kyle Hamilton says hello.

You could also frame it as someone who was good enough to attract enough attention to Wyoming to become a 3 star and receive an offer from the Pac-12 champion versus some guy who was only a 3 star going into his senior year despite living in the recruiting industry hotbed of Georgia.Yes. Let’s compare a walk on to a unicorn 5 star Safety
Yep, and henderson is an example of a long lanky player with a large stride that has absolutely terrible change of direction, and that kills him playing DB or Safety.Right. It’s not like there is a lack of 6’4” football players. There are a lack of 6’4” safeties.
It’s a huge part of the reason KH is a unicorn. That kind of height works against almost everyone else because it changes the way you stride, how quick you can change directions, how much explosive power you generate at the same weight, ability to bend and get low…. KH can somehow do those thing with the extra height.
Like Husain Bolt is a unicorn with the build as a 100m runner. I’d rather have Bolt, obviously, but if I’m betting on the next 5 NCAA 100m dash winners, I’m not picking the 6’5” guys.
It’s why every year a ton of guys who are a little undersized get on the field. Smaller guys tend to be quicker and more athletic. The taller guys are either super-highly-rated or projects. You want the taller guys to work, but you recruit the smaller guys for a reason.
Who is Henderson?Yep, and henderson is an example of a long lanky player with a large stride that has absolutely terrible change of direction, and that kills him playing DB or Safety.
Ramon. Number 11 in your program, but number 1 in your heart.Who is Henderson?
A safety on our team that is really not good, and I don't think can be due to extremely bad change of direction. Good straight line speed, but that's all.Who is Henderson?
