Just want to point out how much of a hypocrite Driskell is.
He just went on a rant that rankings don’t matter. Yet all he did for years was talk about BK not being able to recruit top 5 classes, yet those are based on rankings?
Driskell says it’s about talent not rankings…okay. ND has been a top 5 program the past 5 years so their talent is either top 5, or BK is a top 5 coach, one or the other? But he both says BK sucks and didn’t recruit talent?

Driskell would never ever talk out of both sides of his mouth

“A native of Montreal, Mukam racked up 10 tackles for loss and five sacks while playing just six games as a junior.” - SI

I read on UVA 247 that his parents are Ghanaian but would love to hear if we can verify. We've had quite a few players of Ghanaian descent recently including Wu, Nana, and Litchfield.
Speaking of, Wu turned out pretty good for a 3 star. Not to mention Stanford has been a thorn in our side on a few recruiting battles, nice to take one away. I also like that Clark Lea was after him. Could be a diamond!

First time I have agreed w Driskell. ND and 3 stars should rarely intersect otherwise bring back Kelly.

Alabama, Georgia and Notre Dame have the exact same amount of three star commits currently.

I swear some people here with the no three stars ever, BK recruiting act like the rest of the country never takes a single flier. Saban has a three star QB that’s never played safety committed to play safety lol.

This looks like ND's Malik Vann to me. That's a hefty lower half and what looks like a body begging for 20-25 more lbs. I love taking a player from Stanford like this. Suck it Shaw. And, I think he's got raw upside.

Interesting timing but I'll roll with them on this one, for sure.

Did he say this was one of the Dancing Gifs???

Driskell claims to be #1 Kelly Hater but NDnation posters recalled he was a Kelly lover until BK demurred from answering a question in a Presser. Then Mr Anti Vaxeer / Built Bar King took all his fury on BK.

That “Brian Kelly recruiting” comment was the worst take in here. Maybe focus more on dropping correct information while reporting and less on dropping deuces.

Congrats, Armel, and welcome to Notre Dame! Big possibilities here, young man.
What are you going to focus on?

He’s a few years away from contributing, but I’d be fine with him as a fifth DL recruit. He has tools and is kind of a lump of clay.

It just sort of feels like this is how it’s gonna be for ND at the DE position. We might flirt with, or get verbals from the game changers Alabama or Georgia want, but we’ll probably end up with the projects. ND has a track record of producing really good linemen who play in the NFL, but we can’t outspend Alabama on the positions they emphasize.

Clemson won a national title (the Watson team) loaded with 3 Stars.
I can’t remember the stat, but I want to say their recruiting rankings for the classes that made up that team averaged outside the top 10 & had like three total 5 Stars on the roster.

Not a DE but I like our odds with Scott.

What I like about this commitment is the staff isn't completely missing on this position. In past eras, we lose a Keon Keeley or just don't get a commitment on signing day. Comes back to bite us a few years later when freshman have to play.

To each their own. There's always "Tyrone Willingham Recruiting", and if you're old enough to remember that, I suggest you continue to try and forget.

Until you can get the Keeleys to get on board, get me a guy who is willing to jump into the foxhole and stay in the fight. It got ND this far and with Marcus Freeman I think it could get them a little further to where some of these dudes and their handlers finally get wise to the fact that the ND opportunity is THE best one for them in every aspect. Football, Academics, Community.

Calling this "Brian Kelly Recruiting" is shitting all over Freeman, Golden and Washington for what ultimately amounts to fan entitlement. A staff that just assembled itself was dealt a setback and they went out to remedy it, did so and you have a fan base pissing on them and the kid. Take the emotion out of it and realize that recruiting is a 24/7/365 job and what these guys just did should at the very least be given golf clap level applause.

Same HS that Doug Randolph went to. Hopefully things turn out better for Armel, both on and off the field at ND.
