The visit is 15 minutes away - Westlake is in Austin and it's a home game for Texas.

This "record-breaking" recruiting class could end up being a disaster if Keeley, Bowen and Greathouse jump ship (I know, Keeley is gone, but my gut is telling me the other 2 will follow him out the door).

Implication being you don’t think they did that? I’m sure they had some level of preliminary talks
It’s not that I don’t think they did that, I’m hoping they did. But I’m sort of hoping maybe they didn’t. I’m not sure which would be worse, Fickell saying no to ND or ND not even trying to get Fickell.

In the middle of a run to a playoff appearance? No chance. ND couldn’t wait, and Fickell couldn’t leave before seeing the season through or let it hang over the program as they prepared for the playoff game. Right guy, wrong timing
Except if you are ND and you in the national championship game and your coach is flirting with the NFL.

To be fair and unbiased, Mayer is the favorite target for both TB and DP. DP spreads it around more than TB but neither has performed to the level anyone has expected for a starting QB at ND. And for the record, if you watch the first two games, the receivers were gripping about being open (Styles) in those games as well.

TB does not fit TR offense and neither are the answers for taking ND to a title. Just my opinions.
And to be fair, Mayer is money more times than not. While Lenzy has looked better in recent weeks, he and Styles had some drops early in the season. Mayer is easily the best player on the field anytime he comes off the sideline, hard not to look his way by default.

This is true... but I was referencing all of the complaints about DP but the overlooking of TB being guilty of the same narrative.

I'll wait for IrishLax or Luckylucci to comment on this...they will calm things down in this thread.

For those of you who just started watching college football when a team is down you go after their recruits.

I think Freeman can hold this class together, if Kelly would still be here and we were having the same season, we would've seen more de-commits.

Honestly, and I'm not trying to be butt hurt about Kelly all over, I wouldn't want to snipe a coach like LSU did. LSU did nothing wrong, Kelly could have been a little bit more open to his players and just said he's leaving for the money. The players found out because the news leaked and then Kelly bad mouthed ND. I don't want a coach like that. If you are a head coach somewhere else and you are taking the ND job, man the F up, tell your team as soon as you can. Don't badmouth your former team, because without that team, you wouldn't be where you are.

Also, ND can snipe mid major coaches. I agree with the Turtle, it's the "exciting" coaches we can't.
Who are these exciting coaches you speak of?

Jimbo Fisher?
Mario Cristobal?
Mike Leach?

Loy said ND a bit worried about him going on a visit to TX. They're not sure he'll actually make it, but they don't like he didn't visit for the Clemson game. Would suck to see him back out and stay home, but after watching the offense with our QB play and uncertainty for next year, I can't say I wouldn't be looking around either.

PERFECT::::: Can we make this thread about Tommy as well? I mean why not, if he Greathouse is looking around, likely has to do with him not being confident in the QB, usage of WR's right?

Your welcome

Per ISD, this had been part of the plan for a while.
It has been reported that he has upset the staff a few times with some of the intel he put out that they didnt want out.
Rhymes with Schmackson Schmarnold.

It has been reported that he has upset the staff a few times with some of the intel he put out that they either didnt want out or was false information
One about DM and CJ Carr
One on preferring Paige over Monroe
One on a certain QB visiting

Reported? Or hinted at by a rambling Shaun Davis?

Ryan Roberts just said on the IB podcast that the staff is not concerned AT ALL about Jaden Greathouse and that the information that was put out today was "bad info that needs to be debunked"

That's why Roberts said he was going, just as Vaseks friend

I mean that doesn’t pass the smell test at all lol. That actually makes me less confident if that’s a real reason being given.

Rather hear it’s just a big game Texas vs TCU.

“he downplayed this visit as a sign of anything going on in his recruitment and more of an opportunity to experience a fun game with his friends.”

Learned following these Bowen and Greathouse recruitments, these TX powerhouse kids have to do more post game media than a college player lol. They get bombarded after every single game.
