For purely selfish reason I want 1 more season of Love.
Yes I've enjoyed watching him play.
But it's like eating hot wings or drinking whiskey.
Did you truly have enough?
I'd settle for seeing a healthy Love in the playoffs. He was far from 100% last year and still delivered the best play of the playoffs (the PSU TD) that absolutely played a role in all of the attention hes gotten this year

Like 6 hot wings or your first glass of whiskey that's a taste. A tease if you will

If Love was the consensus Heisman I think there is a fairly high likelihood that the award would go to the Missouri guy
Honest question, I know we see that all the time with QBs and the Heisman and davey O'Brien award, but do we see that with RB awards as well? I'm too lazy to Google or ask chatgpt

Looks like 2/3 last rbs to win the Heisman win both if I'm reading it correct. Mark Ingram being the one that didn't

What the most NIL money a player has made in CFB?

He has more records to break.

Checking in again with the season totals:

185 carries, 1306 yards, 17 TD
25 catches, 274 yards, 3 TD

- He needs just one more TD to break the single season total TDs record. Currently tied with Jerome Bettis.
- He needs 132 yards rushing to break that record
- He needs 2 rushing TDs to break that record

I think we're witnessing the greatest season ever by an ND skill player.

This is starting to feel like the Manti Teo gaining momentum in 2012 only to lose to super douche Johnny Manzel. The competition for Love doesn’t seem to be filled with a bunch of douches like Manzel but they also have zero pizzaz. Ohio State has better receivers than their QB and Mendoza didn’t play very good against the powerful Penn State or Iowa. He’s racked up numbers on the more feeble competition.

I’m beginning to actually believe he can win it with the way the odds have jumped in his favor today. Final Heisman votes are due December 8th. We need the Big 10 championship to be a sloppy, low scoring, slog. And of course, Love needs a nutso game against Stanford that no one will see at midnight next week

I think he has a better shot than people think. He’s gonna get A LOT of first place votes from people who just think he’s the best player in the country and Mendoza / Sayin aren’t good enough to win it. Mendoza / Sayin are going to split the group of people who will only pick a QB bc it’s the most important position.

He could really use a shitty Sayin performance against Michigan and bad Mendoza performance in the B10 championship against a top defense.

The difference is though that Love is an offensive player so it's much easier for him to win. It's extremely hard for a defense only player to win the Heisman.

Yeah, he's also gained a ton of media fans over the past month and ND has really stepped it up with the media blitz. There's just not a really compelling other dude either, Love flashes way more than the others, especially Sayin who almost doesn't exist it seems like. If Love doesn't win it, it will be a QB bias and just box score/stat watchers, because Love has the narrative and the big plays on his side. Not that his stats aren't good either, but people have a bias towards QB stats most of the time.
