I don't follow recruiting as closely as some.. Does ND really have a shot at this kid? Like fr fr? IRL?

I know we’re recruiting him as a “Rover” but I don’t know if he’ll ever actually play Rover. Dude is already pretty jacked up.

I think the fact that the dude is deemed athletic enough to play Rover at 6'4 230 as a junior is pretty telling that he is an athletic freak of nature.

I do think he ultimately grows into a Vyper, as he has the frame to grow into the 250 range.

And if ND ends up with a DL class of Keeley, Vernon and M'Pemba, that's an elite unit. It just needs a big-time interior player. Problem is, I don't know who that is right now.

I like him at DE eventually but here's a guy who could play both sides of the ball. I wonder if we start seeing more guys play both ways under Freeman?

Might be Vernon
Probably needed to clarify, but I was more referring to a 1 tech.

I think Vernon will ultimately move inside, but I think he'll end up being a 3 tech. We need an elite nose, and a big one at that.

Going into this year, our 2 deep at 1 tech is likely going to be Jacob Lacey and Howard Cross, both of which are currently listed at 275. I think both guys can ball for sure, but we're going to be really small at DT, unless those guys get considerably bigger as seniors, which I don't see happening. It doesn't need to be a Jordan Davis type monster who's 6'6 360, but maybe a Christian Wilkins 6'3 315 level interior type, would be nice.

Even if you add Moore to replace M’Pemba or along with him, we’re still short in the interior, right? The only names I can think of on DL outside of these guys are Devan Houston and the Cathedral kid.

We just offered an interior player this past week -- Stephiylan Green.

Traore, a BC commit as well though he’d likely be a 3 Tech too.

We got a couple of large young men in the last class. Jason Onye is 6’5 289 and I believe young for his class. Rubio is 6’5 1/4, 290. It’ll be interesting to see where the staff and age takes those two.
