I'd argue it is. Just not the way CBK saw it.
Tony Rice Jerome Bettis and all the others who by every metric shouldn't have succeded here but did because they had that personal drive.
Some people have it some people don't.
Obviously it is. I was joking, but more in the sense that we dont have to call them RKGs anymore. We are going after the best football players period…then determining if they are a fit or think that Notre Dame can be a fit for them. To me, the whole RKG thing was just another way of saying we are going to start our recruiting outside of the top 100, and when we take MAC level players in a recruiting cycle it is because they are RKGs.

It's not like Charlie Weis was recruiting a bunch of scumbags to where the staff that followed him had to pivot to finding higher levels of character.

That RKG bit kind of rubbed me the wrong way from day one. Now when CBK talked about "Tough Gentlemen", THAT was a message I was down with. Like on the field, you flip on the Neanderthal gene and get after it for 60 minutes. Just flip it off when you're not on the field and be a good person to others, stay out of your own way and don't compromise yourself by being in situations that could be bad for you and for the team.

Then our starting QB got drunk and ran from the cops.

Gray committed to ND on the Friday of his OV to ND. He already had his other OV’s scheduled & his decision date set for the 4th, so he went on them with ND’s okay.
So he was actually the first of the six silents, three of which have now gone public.

Good to know about the Friday commit, but he didn’t take any other OVs. He quietly canceled

I remember seeing him at the grotto on a snowy day in December last year. Looked like he was freezing his ass off. I’m glad the cold weather didn’t have a negative impact on him.

This is a big pickup. Pickups like this one, and hopefully J Moore, are what turn a good class into a great class.

Welcome to ND!! Freeman made him important when he was ND's DC.

Who are the other 3 silent commits?

BK is going to have to get new dance moves with recruits.
