I was surprised more than anything, but when something like that happens, you have to say to yourself that you now have an opportunity to upgrade the staff.

It's a closed door/open door mentality. Elston was Kelly's guy forever. Kelly gone, Elston gone. Al Washington coming in under Freeman's lead is proving to be a better combo early on.

Ryan talked to the Moore camp today on the phone and they told him this.
So if no one else talked to them today then they wouldn’t report it.
I trust Ryan is telling the truth when he says he was told that directly.

Okay, going to read the tea leaves here . . . His comments about ND seem more meaningful than the other 4 officials he took. He spoke about the "culture" and going "deeper into understanding their culture". The other 4 schools (Maryland, Penn State, Skunk Bear, and Ohio State) he just seemed to speak in common terms about the "family feel", "seeing the campus", or where they are in program building. He also seems to be struggling to keep a bug smile from breaking loose when he talks about ND. I think this is a man who has made up his mind, is relieved and excited about letting the cat out of the bag very soon.

There is one player who can legitimately be called a silent... but even then he is no more of a silent than Dante Moore was.

They are saying that there are three silents because it's almost a guarantee that ND lands at least 3 more guys and then they can be like "see we called it!" regardless of who actually commits. And worst case scenario, they can just go back on their claim and be like "oh well he was a silent but changed their mind." It's obvious click bait.

But Driskell has said that there are at least 3 silents left.
He also said he doesn't do clickbait.

Not just the three but this was my stance once folks started saying IB had like 7 silents. That’s just pure volume shooting and hoping it works out. Same happened last summer.

Hopefully we get a Wagner like surprise. Moore sees similarly quiet.
