I am gonna go back a ways for my comparison. He reminds me a lot of Eric Metcalf. His return capabilities, the jump cuts he performs, size, speed, etc.

Starting to think this guy will be a fringe 5 star, top 100, before the final rankings are released. He's electric every week and his cuts are neck breaking. I've never seen anything like it.

I agree and to think he is going to come in likely with Jeremiyah Love; hell of a combination.

One of Warren Ruggiero or Phil Longo is going to work wonders with this kid in space.

I don’t see Longo leaving UNC. He could have potentially the best QB in the CFB next year. That is pure pleasure for an OC.

Ruggiero is another story… how do we all feel about that slow-mesh, read and react offense?

Money talks, though. Longo is making around 900K. Isn't Rees making well north of that?

They're 39th in Total Offense and have scored 12 more TD than ND have this year. They find and develop talent not being a blue blood brand in the sport of college football.

Those results will be fine.

Those are my Top 2 choices
You know what they both have in common? They worked their way up.

Check out Longo's resume:

1996–1999Parsippany Hills HS
2000–2001William Paterson (AHC/OC)
2002–2003La Salle (AHC/OC)
2004–2005The room
2006–2007Minnesota–Duluth (OC)
2008–2009Southern Illinois (OC)
2010Youngstown State (WR/RC)
2011Slippery Rock (WR)
2012–2013Slippery Rock (OC/QB)
2014–2016Sam Houston State (OC/QB)
2017–2018Ole Miss (OC/QB)
2019–presentNorth Carolina (OC/QB)

Here is Ruggiero's

1989–1993Defiance (OC)
1994–1996Clarion (OC)
1997–1998Glenville State
1999William & Mary (TE)
2000–2001Hofstra (QB/RC)
2002–2005Hofstra (OC/QB)
2006–2007Elon (OC/QB)
2008Kansas State (QB)
2009–2013Bowling Green (OC/QB)

That's grinding. You would think that Notre Dame would be a fantastic opportunity for either guy or both.

Idk. I personally don’t think slow mesh would work well against defenses with good dlines

I guess you haven't watched them against Clemson then. Its like Sex Panther, 60% of the time, it works every time.

NO, you don't use it on EVERY play, it is a wrinkle, and option and "change of pace"

I mean, I’ve seen you guys complain enough about our slow developing run plays
