yes, a 12 year old who runs low 4.3s, makes cuts at full speed and has the acceleration of a Ferrari.
Don’t get me wrong. I’m a huge fan of Edwards. I just didn’t really realize how small he was until I saw him standing next to the coaches. He is the Pocket Rocket and I want nothing more than him to ball out. … but he does look like Rodney Allen Rippy.

He is actually bigger than Rocket was if that is what you meant from your comment. If my memory serves me correct.

Rocket was 5-11, 175. Edwards is neither.
I thought Rocket was 5-9 155 when he was at ND. I remember a lot of fans were happy he went to the CFL because they thought he would get absolutely killed in the NFL. Either way I could totally be wrong on his size and am not able to really look it up and dont know if I would trust anything I would find anyway.

I'm just happy that I'm young enough that I had to Google "Rodney Allen Rippy". I shot a text to the old man and he knew immediately who he was.

A couple of years ago, my kids came to me and couldn't believe the front man of Foo Fighters was the drummer in Nirvana. This stuff has a way of evening out.

I’m over 30 and literally just figured this out within the last year. I remember Nirvana and the day KC died, but had no idea Grohl was in the band.

My kids at the time were 11, 9 and 6. And all of them were taller than Dylan Edwards.

This kid makes up for what he lacks in measurables with speed and skill. NFL teams have been far more willing to draft smaller RB in recent years.

New Order might be my favorite band of all time, especially their first two albums

Talking Heads were amazing. Saw David Byrne solo some years back. Awkward stage presence, but phenomenal musician.

Little insight for you from us in our 40’s who were in HS when Nirvana blew up…Grohl was the talent in Nirvana.
If Conain hadn’t died young, people would have realized Grohl was the talent. Cobain was just the face & weird one with the attention.
Just like Paul McCartney being a better singer, musician & songwriter than John Lennon. But Lennon died tragically and was the weird one & face, so multiple generations idolize him and think he is better than McCartney.

OMFG Reaper what a bad analogy and sorry you are a McCartney lover. I think Lennon is definitely the better singer and more creative than Paul. Yes Paul was productive but he also put out some crap too. Next thing you will be expounding the greatness of Maxwell's Silver Hammer.

You're right and IMO Harrison was better than McCartney as evidenced by their works post Beatles. On a side note when they auditioned Harrison, Lennon thought he was too young to be in the band (just two years difference). McCartney convinced Lennon to bring him on.

Its All Too Much by Harrison to me is very underrated tune. Harrison is arguably the best of the lot. No arrogance. Paul was a total dick to Harrison on the last few albums and he never forgave him.

The other point is the Beatles at the outset was John's Band. John had the bravado and the balls to push the Beatles. Without John there is no Beatles. But yes he got tired of it later. I can relate. The only issue I had with John is he didn't treat his first son well at all. But his confidence and creativity were great.

I guess this can be the new IE music thread while we use Dante's for food.
