Very interesting prospect. The Jaylon Smith of SouthCentral... ILL.

Camping at Invasion.

Sure to be one of the longest threads for 2023. As zlk and SoIll argue about the difference between central & southern Illinois and who has the best pizza in Little Egypt.

From Arthur? Holy cow. Didn't know anything other than Amish came from there.

And FYI Arthur is not close to Little Egypt, firmly in Central IL. Yup 40 minutes from my hometown

Shockingly there's lots of decent pizza places in small towns all over Central IL and probably Southern. They're all mostly hand tossed and thin crust

Looks like they offered him at RB. That's an Upperclassman Josh Adams looking Jr. in HS.

Can someone say Anthony Barr?

He runs slower than most running backs in the NIC. If this is a RB offer, no thanks.

You of all people should know, When someone Horvathian wants to play for your team... you offer.

The tackle attempt around the five second mark made me laugh.

That may have been the worst looking competition I've seen in an ND recruit's video. Looked like he was playing against my son's 8th grad team.

Yeah, I almost made a comment yesterday that the other team looked like the Little Giants

All of the above is true, but this staff has not made a lot of significant errors in offering players in recent years.

Tim Prister famously objected to Jack Kiser being recruited by Lea and Tim,. an alum, had the good grace to note it later when Kiser proved worth the scholarship offer.

Spotting great players in the Mater Dei-John Bosco game is easy.

but there are great players in out of the way places.

For me? This staffl, by Cam Hart, has earned the benefit of the doubt.

Interesting to note that On3 has Feagin as their 81st overall prospect - they're way higher on him than the other sites. He's 157 overall on Rivals and not even on 247s list. It feels like On3 has been quick to the draw and correct on lots of rising prospects (think Keon Keely). To be fair they also though have some head scatchers... I think CJ Williams isn't even in their top 50 or 60 WRs for 2022.

Illinois CB not too long ago. Not sure if that is Deland or taking Zinter or just always had on back burner and Feagin wants to move forward.

Read an interview where he said he was going to announce soon cuz he knew what he wanted. Pretty sure it was on an Illini site

Go to Illinois, develop, and get that degree. Then GT to ND.

In all seriousness I realize there just isn’t space after taking Zinter and possibly adding Payne. But, he’s a prospect that I’m glad we have a profile for. Maybe check back in a few years and see how it went.

I've made a crystal ball pick (my first!) in favor of the Illini with a confidence of six to land four-star athlete Kaden Feagin when he announces his college decision at noon

Just ran across a tweet about him and thought I'd see what our former ND Dreamer was up to...

As a true Frosh, was ILL's #2 RB (at 6-3/250) Went for @600 yds and 3 TD's rush/rec. #1 RB, SR Reggie Love transferred to Purdue for his Covid bonus cuz he saw the writing on the wall.

We didn't talk about it much here but this kid was on his way to ND if they'd have taken him. We are of course in great shape aat RB but I kinda got used to watching Estime hulksmashing defenders and wish I had a bigger version to do the same in '24

Which is why I quoted Lucky's post... Mr Feagin, you are officially on GT watch, though Dre Brown going back to Champaign-Urbana today won't help.
